  1. In all fairness what are they protesting here ? Ireland supports Gaza, does trinity give money to Israel or something ?

  2. More social contagion for our suggestible little darlings.
So long as no one sets themselves on fire, who really cares?

  3. Good on them.. the way America is handling this is bizarre.now passing a bill to outlaw anything remotely negative towards Israelis or jews

  4. They should give up their spots for some asylum seekers to camp their instead, if they want a gesture that isn’t completely meaningless.

  5. Fair play to anyone standing up for what matters to them.

But why do they continue to attend the university if they feel this way about it? Surely it makes more sense to those to boycott it and resume their education elsewhere?

Edit: judging by the downvotes so far, we can guess how this thread will go

  6. Good for them being empathetic. In a few years they won’t have that privileged because they won’t be able to see past the eventuality of most of them not owning their own homes.

  7. Should note this is also partly in response to a 215k euro fine for protesting, theyre doubling down and honestly all power to them

  8. Proper way of doing a protest, not using fear and intimidation on a politicians wife and kids

  9. Ah sure, don’t these students know that winging on reddit is much more effective than protest!

  10. Good lads, the ROI was only made possible from protesting. Good luck to them.

  11. Lol monkey say monkey do , just copy the most privileged in Americas and not understand stand the irony

  12. Yep, this wasn’t an entirely obvious eventuality when the university decided to fine the SU an absurd amount of money.

Fucking around and finding out springs to mind.

  13. This is very much an insider thing but I don’t think I’ve ever set foot on the grass of the Colonnades. Wild to see tents on it.
