The problem with fact-checking far-right populists like Orban, is that their base doesn’t care. They don’t give a single fuck about it. They get their “news” from Facebook, TikTok, and X, where they only follow fellow far-right morons, and where algorithms feed them with more far-right bullshit on a daily basis.
He bitched and compared the EU to the soviet union, so why don’t he just fucking leave already.
One small country shouldn’t be able to constantly obstruct the entire EU and the remaining 26 countries…
Maybe it’s time we do a coup and take down Fidesz by force.
If you’re wondering why this article sounds like Euronews suddenly put kid gloves on: The new owners of Euronews have close ties to Orban.
Orban to jail! Putin to hell!
“Dől a szar a szájából” as we say in Hungary.
Without reading the analysis: 80% of what Piggy says is a direct lie, the remainig are usually taken out of context to the point of being totally misleading.
Politicians lie, how surprising.
It’s up to the Hungarians to rise against this piece of shit.
Fundamental difference is he won’t be assassinated and Hungary would not be genocided again if they decide to leave EU, unlike what happened in ussr/russia
These fact-checks will be read for the most part only by those who’re already opposed to Orban, just to affirm their anti-Orban position again.
Many are suggesting a violent uprising against the government. That sure would change things but it is important to see that this regime got into power BECAUSE of a violent uprising.
If we are trying to change things, we shouldn’t fall into the same traps as before. Such a power vacuum creates dictators.
LOL. What a crappy fact check. I couldn’t get past the first two.
– Orban says the left bankrupted Hungary (clearly not meaning literally bankrupted since countries don’t go bankrupt, he meant “left it in terrible financial state”) – FALSE, the country didn’t declare bankruptcy
– Hungary wages went up 3x. FALSE – GDP didn’t increase (but still admits average wage went up 3x, which is clearly what he meant)
So basically the first two facts checks are actually true, they just change the definition of what he’s saying and then say “this isn’t true”
Whatever they wrote in the article don’t fall for this astroturfing. Euronews is owned by Orban.
Did Orban lie about how many, many times he’s sucked Putin’s dick?
Weird that the leftist politicians never get fact checked like this isn’t it 🤔
Another reminder that we should no longer be using euronews links, euronews is now owned by Orban and his oligarch friends.

Another selective “fact check”.
