    Ireland got to over 5,000 cases per million (briefly), and has now dropped below 1,000 per million and dropping. Pretty much the same shape as Germany, and with constantly dropping cases in hospital and ICU due to the success of vaccinations and boosters.

  2. Good news being, our hospitalisations and deaths didnt reach the heights of the previous waves despite the more transmissable variant.

    On a serious note it’s quite incredible the impact of vaccines. The first big wave hit hospitals super hard, yet this spike was 3 times bigger and hospitals (just about) managed.
