‘Zombie’ Spice user poured boiling ‘sugar water’ on sleeping prisoner’s face

1. Do prisoners regularly have access to kettles in their own cells? Seems like too much of a risk.

2. Brother in law used to be a guard at an asylum detention centre. He said the sugar water trick was used (on him) as the sugar solution supposedly had a higher boiling point which made the burns worse. Not sure the physics makes sense but I can see why it might catch on…

4. I saw the burns made by sugar water and it disgusted me so much I cannot bring myself to make tanghulu or creme caramel or the squid game candy. Not getting my finger degloved cos I’m stupid and would try to taste the boiling hot sugar. Can’t imagine it on the face eughh

5. These cells sound like a room at travelodge, I never got a kettle when I went through military training!
