Leaked: The FILTHY Reality of Russian Soldiers Trenches!
those of us that have been to war know that the reality of war is dirtier Messier and more mundane than anyone appreciates and this is true not just for Ukrainian forces but for Russian forces as well in fact we get a look in this video at a Russian position a where and how these Frontline infantrymen in Russia’s most high casualty units live let’s get into it I’m Paul US Army Combat veteran okay so this is coming to us from a soldier who’s who whose leaked Vlogs have actually been pretty pervasive especially on the Ukraine war subreddit and the reason uh he initially kind of came up was that he talked about how his unit had suffered a tremendous number of casualties I think he reported that of his 30 person platoon um he was the only one left who was not uh seriously wounded or killed and so this is a previous blog of his but it looks like it is from just 3 weeks ago right you could see um April 3rd or excuse me about a month ago um so it’s a really upto-date look and we’re going to break down the gear he’s got how they’re living and what sort of things we can infer about the Russian experience here okay so I want to point some things out first off uh so you guys have some context right because if you’ve done Outdoors a lot of Outdoors men stuff or you’ve been a military Soldier living in austere conditions you may not be familiar with some of this now this right here you’re going to know this is a Woodfired stove right you gather wood you put it in the stove and then it discharges the carbon dioxide outside of the tent this is actually pretty dangerous especially when you’re in a uh tent or in this case what looks like an underground Dugout right you need to have uh oxygen coming in and what you can’t have is CO2 build up that’s a real danger in some of these stoves so you want to make sure that this seal here is good because if there’s even a small leak this the danger of having a whole unit killed with CO2 poisoning is pretty real okay you can also see this thing this is unique this looks like a tin this looks like a water heater they may be heating water either to boil it to ensure that it is um safe for human consumption or they may be heating it for washing right for washing uh and shaving okay so here’s what’s interesting these two camo patterns this one is the Russian ratnik camo pattern it was developed about 12 years ago um as part of a Russian army modernization effort but the one adjacent to it is the ocp pattern and this is developed uh again also about 10 or 12 years ago for use in Afghanistan ocp though has become absolutely pervasive it’s considered an excellent top tier camo pattern really combat tested um and if you want a fascinating Story the Army issued us I was one of the last soldiers to deploy wearing the Army Combat Uniform which is a absolutely hideous um uh digital gray green That was supposed to be um the camouflage that uh could conceal you anywhere but what they ended up accidentally making was a camouflage that could conceal you nowhere this is the pattern itself um and the old this is what it looked like right looks very familiar oh look at this guy he’s got actually this patch this is the 89th m p Brigade he served with the 89th same unit I did when he deployed um so yeah you can see these guys right you could see you’re like what would this blend in with it would blend in really well with like a destroyed concrete Urban environment uh and what sort of happened with these uniforms is that after 12 to 14 months or you know around 8 to I’d say it was okay I’d say it took about 6 months of continuous wear in Afghanistan um that the fabric actually absorbed the dirt and environment that you were operating in uh and the colors because they’re so neutral began to shift and look more like the dirt in your specific environment now obviously you need camouflage that works on day one you can’t have camouflage that works at month 6 but the point what was fascinating is that by the time they started to issue soldiers this ocp right right around the 12- Monon of my tour as we were leaving country a new unit was coming in the the general pattern of this camo looked roughly like the color scheme rather or tint of this outfit looked exactly like our combat warn acus okay interesting look look look look this is cool instant coffee instant coffee is a solders staple um absolutely essential uh it’s included in almost every ration in almost every country over the world a few countries seem to have rations that that they get their caffeine from tea but at this point freeze driede is just it’s it’s weight efficient it stores great it’s really hard to complain about you can see also they have socks mittens other cold weather gear spare hats lots of snacks they also have what look like uh this is maybe sunscreen or some kind of cleaning product interesting they also have what looks like maybe canned air this is probably used to clean dust off of Optics um because again you can’t just rub it with a if you have um debris on a on an optic you can’t just rub it right that’s going to the the the debris itself like little rocks or little bits of sand they’re going to grind on the surface as you try to rub them off so you have to just spray them off and so canned air is really effective for that you can also see right paper towels macaroni the thing you should be you should be considering when you watch this is I I I I I like this video because there’s a lot and I mean a lot of people who spend their time talking about bugout bags [ __ ] hits the fan what do you need to survive in a tactical environment this is the answer these are this is a guy who is literally surviving on the front line of a high casualty conflict right surviving well he’s surviving right and so I say this because this is the real survival kits stuff okay this is the real stuff if you have a couple square feet this is what you this is what you bring to combat to survive okay so note this here this is a Soviet mtin it’s very very uh effective um it’s a great camping mes tin it you actually put the canteen in this um uh little tin here but you can eat out of these this is for heating up water very effective look at this here note this a um this looks like a headlamp uh again absolutely essential for seeing in the dark and not just the dark we think about oh you’re out in the woods you got your headlamp on but you got to think what if the power goes out in this Dugout what if literally it’s just a cloudy day and you’re in your trench but you’re looking and it’s just like you’re undercover you’re like man I can’t see the ammo in this ammo crate it’s so important to have an easy light source like this State energy drinks baby burn energy drink all right let’s just see how much how much caffeine do you think burn energy drink has I’m going to look this up for you guys uh and let me see how it compares to okay here we go here we go I I found it guys burn energy okay product baby show me what you got burn energy it looks like it looks like he’s it looks like it’s original flavor uh do you not have nutrition facts burn sour twist burn zero okay show me Twitter oh my gosh you can’t even tell me anything tell me something about the product okay hold on well I’m going to find I want the stats of this thing oh here we go burn energy who actually burn energy is owned by monster beverage Corporation distributed in 80 countries with dozens and dozens of uh ingredients which is cool I guess um and interesting it contains a lot of energy energy calories large number of calories but it still doesn’t seem to want to tell me how much caffeine is in an energy drink one thing of burn uh let’s see oh how much caffeine is in Burn energy burn energy contains 112 Mig of caffeine okay and if you get an 8 O can 80 to 100 milligrams okay guys I’m going to out them right now and tell you that here’s what he should be using he should unironically be using strike gum why because unless okay he may want those sugar calories he may be like listen pound this pound the burn you get a bunch of sugar is it healthy for you no but if you need energy like that the caffeine and sugar combo um can help you if you are if you don’t have access to other food but for most of us in the United States we don’t need to worry about getting we’re not so desperate for food we need sugar all right I’ve made strike gum zero sugar this this piece 90 migs of caffeine that’s almost as much as the 12 oz burn he’s got there right and there’s five of them in a pack so again if you were somebody you could throw this in a cargo pocket throw it in a magazine pouch uh throw it in any the shoulder pocket anywhere you could put this thing and you’re going to get the equivalent of five five of those burn energies and so this is my company right I made this because I had to drink those gross energy drinks when I was deployed and it was disgusting and I was like no I’m going to make something better so I made strike gum you can get it at strike gum.com we have had thousands of orders I I all over the world I have shipped it everywhere um and right it’s but it’s made right here in the USA at a USA Factory with the best ingredients um natural caffeine right none of that weird lab constructed stuff um and if you want you can go on Amazon and get it we have thousand or we have dozens of five-star reviews on Amazon um and if you want to go to amazon.com search for strike gum or strike gum energy and you’ll see it right there uh link is in the description so again get get don’t don’t don’t don’t give yourself diabetes guys don’t don’t don’t drink this much sugar okay yeah sure if you’re if if you’re if you don’t have if the Russian military can’t give you any food yeah sure pure chemical sugar and caffeine is better than not eating anything but dudes dudes get the gum just just don’t don’t be this guy okay comms guys a basic communication radio absolutely worth it now we’ve seen also cell phones completely workable in Ukraine one of the things that nobody saw coming uh is that thanks to to starlink and um is that almost everybody’s cell phone uh can work even on these front lines but the radios the nice thing is radios just talk direct to each other so they’re um they don’t depend on a cell tower and they can be worth it just just uh yep USB charger again if you’ve been camping or you’ve ever done any like backpacking you know that all this stuff feels like quintessential this is like your car when you’ve done like a weeklong camping trip except for the grenade the live grenade that’s a little different he’s got some tablets here medication possibly like an an acid or a but they may also be water purification okay wait wait wait this is more significant one in the US military we would go ballistic if you just left your food out but notice they have a pan here they have a propane burner and they have two tin mugs if you this is something that if you if you went in my garage and you pulled out my camping gear this would be stuff you would find right these aluminum mugs are clutch they’re so tough you could throw them against a wall you could bash them they’re going to hold up they’re easy to clean they don’t stain um and you can eat out of them you can drink out of them uh a propane burner um or a butane burner right they make little stoves you can just attach to almost any universal butane or propane and they’ll uh heat things up and then of course just a reliable Skillet you can cook whatever you can get in it that but don’t leave it out don’t leave it out guys don’t leave your food out 24 hours especially where you live this going to draw rats it’s going to draw flies they’re disease vectors guys you can’t do that eat all your food and then clean it up combat knife notice that the tip of the combat knife has actually been broken off but you notice here what they’re using it for using it to to cut up this garlic really interesting stuff and it looks like is this alcohol oh look look they have a solid fuel stove see this here that’s a solid fuel stove oh no it’s not I’m sorry I’m sorry I have it wrong this is the burner the stove top attached to the butane uh fuel okay here’s one other thing that I think is significant you see how they’ve got a dirt floor but then they’ve got these pallets the reason is because the pallets are going to lift you off the floor so so when it rains you got to think you’re in a hole in the ground so imagine what happens to this place when it rains this is why I’m also like yo cuz imagine having food and eating it inches away from like ankle deep muddy stagnant water that’s what happens when this when it rains here so that’s why they have these pallets here so that you can walk across the pallets you cannot get your boots covered in mud again imagine you’re about to go to bed and you like take off your boots maybe your boots got wet and they need to dry right and then you step into wet mud you’ll you’ll never get dry and that’s how you end up with trench foot that maybe like Paul if they worry about that why do they put their cans directly on the muddy floor and and that’s because they’re undisciplined they’re conscripts this is how conscripts operate when they don’t have any kind of leadership and I mean the other sad reality is that for these Russian conscripts is that they likely will not live long enough for disease to become a problem yep notice here right he’s got what looks like an AK 101 but iron sights so that tells you the kind of soldier this guy is not somebody they expect to do a lot of precision shooting yep he’s got his boots right you notice here there’s some toilet paper um he’s got what looks like basically just no sleeping pad just a sleeping bag a few layers of sleeping bag and like a like a blanket things looking pretty new only dropped once well maybe a couple of times yeah you notice these sleeping areas elevated lots of blankets on every everything that’s actually a pretty nice uh sleeping area for a bunk okay you notice here they’ve got uh ammo pouches slings and this looks like some safety stuff so this is a news article um I think maybe about a commander and this looks like uh some sort of safety or gear operation guide oh yeah no Sor right there ‘s the commander who was killed again these look like notifications or news yeah this looks like some kind of official documentation part um yeah this looks like chain of command there looks like Putin looks like some kind of watch or schedule or like a master contact list some kind of military operations manual I’ve heard that Russia has actually released a number of these manuals to help troops understand uh the tactics they need to to to uh succeed on the battlefield or or not die it obviously is working great you can see a lot of coats a lot of coats and a lot of socks see the socks hung up to dry and you see how they got the stove and they got all the wood next to the stove also not a great call and the wood sitting on the ground cuz remember when are you going to want a stove to be most functional uh when it’s really cold or when it’s really wet right because you need the stove to dry things off and if you have the wood on the ground uh you see how you’re going to get into a problem but but but but you’re putting together how that in some ways this is the survival Essentials are all here but there’s a a lack of discipline that’s creating a needlessly dangerous environment but again is it worth it when you have such high casualty rates probably not that’s there you go you see he’s got his assault pack three-day assault pack a classic this is this this sort of size of backpack guys you can’t beat it I’ll say this I had a ton of Civilian backpacks um I’ve tried them all I’ve broken them all and I’m going to say you know what I finally caved a year ago I said you know what there’s one backpack that I know is not going to break it’s going to be water repellent it’s going to hold whatever recording gear laptop whatever I need and it’s going to be comfortable and here’s the thing you may not like it but this this is like $13 on eBay right this is and you see it’s the pattern no one likes but guess what I don’t need it to be camouflaged but it’s huge it’s got a huge capacity right you can see it’s got all my electronics in there it’s got a little stiffener so it’s comfortable on your back it’s got one big pocket the zippers are tough it’s just like you know and here’s the thing there’s a bunch of Superfluous straps on there but I just cut them off like I If you want to hack right if you want to if you want the Ultimate Military Surplus hack um right ACU assault pack Surplus let’s go on eBay I just want to do this because look okay this is overpriced these are all overpriced you can buy them you see them uh like usually defect means like a tear right but used yeah you see used this is like $24 for a military grade 3-Day Assault Pack you can’t beat it right again use Surplus free shipping $29.99 and I want to point this out look at the coloration here this is probably from combat used or at least used extensively in the field you notice how it literally has shifted it’s its actual color makeup that’s what I was talking about right and again if you want ACU trousers medium R right if you’re look $13 for a for a decent quality pair of work pants $4 plus 14 like like 15 bucks dude you can’t get jeans that cheap and if you want like work pants dude these are great that’s the thing because everybody hates ACU pattern stuff they think that because the pattern’s ugly the gear is bad some of the ACU some of the really early pants are actually bad but like the point is is that some of these things are like Staples and they are worth the investment oh look here shower shoes guys if you’ve been camping you understand or backpacking you understand that you always bring some shower shoes right let your feet breathe let them dry out but still have something keeping them off the ground hugely important also interesting a chainsaw this chainsaw is probably to do like low Precision Cuts to do construction with wood what else do we got he keeps talking the same thing yeah this is a whole cooking area you see they’ve got all this trash out here again in the US military an NCO would have a stroke but because the Russian military doesn’t have ncos it’s just officers giving orders it’s a free-for-all okay that looks like they’ve got a care package from home but look inside looks like somebody sent him a ton of treats oh my God they sent him a ton of candy listen like I said as an alternative to not eating a box of candy is welcome oh showing off his treat an apple yeah well you know your logistic system is failing when fresh fruit and vegetables is like a huge treat and remember these guys aren’t on the other side of the world they are like maybe maybe 120 miles from Russian Sovereign territory so much so much little food Snick snack stuff I hope he’s also dunking on his friends for being gross what else we got you see when you look at the whole thing man it’s just not that big right it is just not that big anyway guys that’s all I had for this video I really hope you got something out of it I found it really interesting um about the reality of surviving in a modern combat zone and again hopefully you learned that survival stuff is not what you think it is right so anyway thank you guys be sure to hit subscribe oh a huge thank you to the members of coment news.com I really could not do this without you guys I appreciate you so much and I’ll see you all you guys in the next one uh let me know what you kept in your kit when you were deployed in the comments below see you

Its realities of war and trenches. Lol this lunatic thinks only russians are fighting like this? what a clownshow of a channel.
co not co2
Its so funny, I have been using a Mystery Ranch 3-day assault pack for the past two decades for a similar reason to you going for an ACU pack
This guy definitely goes to 🌈 parades
Carbon dioxide poisoning from that stove isn't likely unless the concentration is high but carbon monoxide is deadly in very low concentrations.
Hey Paul, first of all,
I love you, as much as I can still keeping it hetero. The thing is that you, all of your fellows, neighbours and any of people you know will never receive the level of ghetto russians are in. I’m Polish, on my bad days (no work, family support etc) I’ve lived off £0.60 a day with no begging. And they can go way ruffer without a call. I just sincerely believe, your mind have no capacity for the level of how low they can get and survive. I am no military, never been, hope that never will habe to be. Fingers crossed. Love you Paul, buziaki!
You don’t need a bug out kit when you are dead in about 48 hours 😅. You need coffe, thats it
Man are you retrarded? This is a war and you can expect hotel conditions. You are ex-soldier and you can imagine conditions on the front line.
#MONSTER drinks in Russia???? Never going to drink them again!!!
Not CO2 but Carbon Monoxide, is what kills you when you don't get oxygen and with fires.
Full Metal Jacket South Vietnam 🇻🇳 Soldiers joke about the rifles.
January 2024 from the world renown CNN…….The frontlines of Russia’s war in Ukraine have become infested with rats and mice, reportedly spreading disease that causes soldiers to vomit and bleed from their eyes, crippling combat capability and recreating the gruesome conditions that plagued troops in the trench warfare of World War I.
A Ukrainian servicewoman, who goes by the call-sign “Kira,” recalled how her battalion was beset last fall by a “mouse epidemic” while fighting in as the southern Zaporizhzhia region.
“Imagine going to bed, and the night begins with a mouse crawling into your pants or sweater, or chewing your fingertips, or biting your hand. You get two or three hours’ sleep, depending on how lucky you are,” Kira told CNN. She estimated there were around 1,000 mice in her dugout of four soldiers. “It was not the mice who were visiting us; we were their guests.”…check it out and see pictures so both sides are living in squallor..I am neutral and believe in both scenarios
Says combat veteran yet I see mp pistols something ain’t adding up mps are not even combat arms
Does the trench have a safe room for when the granades and the drones come?
It's actually crazy to see how good you are at analyzing the minutiae of the environment he's in – definitely have a "tactical eye"
12:35 Baofeng UV17R 😂, theyre using what we in the amateur radio community throwaway handhelds compared to our $300-600 Japanese or 1000+ Motorola's. Weak connection poor receiver. Yhe only upsode is they now have USB-C charging so a lot easier to keeo charged with less adapters to have one hand. These fuys will he easy to locate with the amount spurious noise they put out.
Epic inclusion of Strike Gum, maybe your best yet???
Everything in there comes from wish 😅
Dunhams has work pants for under 10$, not sure how.
Apparently you have not traveled outside your city
FYI, if you get surplus gear and aren't using it for anything high speed you can rite dye the gear.
Looks like D rear poser hooch. Making me get that eye twitch NCOxs get.
