Dear Greek friends, I am from Armenia but my grandfather lived in Greece(Komotini) many many years ago… my mum wants to try to find her relatives, but all we have now is an address on the letter envelope (sent in 1981) that now probably doesn’t even exist… please if you live somewhere close to that area (Chios, and the street name that I don’t know how to read probably Atsici) tell me if that street still exists or maybe there are new buildings there or anything else.
I know a very long time has passed, but I really want to get all the possible info..

Best I could find is the town of Atsiki in a different island called Limnos, and additionally a Google map’s listing about an apartment rental in Chios called Atsiki’s 54, although it could be a coincidence.
Sometimes street names changes. At least in Greece. You can send an email to the municipality of Chios to ask if the address is still valid or has changed. You can give the mane of the relative, l mean why not? Even if they don’t know, or are willing to tel, you have nothing to loose.
From 30-40 years ago they are definitely documented. Best bet would probably be to contact Chios municipality.
If they try to help or guide you it would be pretty easy.
Or else you could potentially contact a lawyer in Chios? I’m not sure if you could have them ask for documents.
A link to a baptism certficate (in turkish) for the daughter (Nadya) of Eduart and Yeranouhi “Tokaltıyan” (again here the name spelled in turkish) in 1966. Might be related but it might also be a red herring. It mentions an/the armenian catholic community (called, I think) “Saint Jean Crysostome”.
