Mali’s (Africa) PM Maiga asks Denmark to take back its forces: “Nobody will come here by proxy anymore. That used to happen. But now it’s finished. If someone has to come to Mali then we will come to an agreement. We will agree on what you will come here to do”

  1. If the government doesn’t want the Danes there then it’s their choice. Europe is there at their request and if they don’t want us there then there’s no reason to stay.

  2. The “PM” is a military figurehead.

The military decided to form a committee (whose members they picked themselves) to assess if there are acceptable conditions to hand over power to civilian leadership via elections and (surprise, surprise) the committee decided that there aren’t and the military should stay in power for 5 years.

  3. This sounds quite like a /r/ChoosingBeggars

I suggest we let the Russian clowns dealing with the quagmire and the entitled pos on their own.

  4. Sounds like an internal power struggle.

    > It won’t happen any more under the authority of Assimi Goita.

    Goita is the interim president.
