11. He hit a gate and died? I mean, who knows.. maybe he got impaled or was doing 120mph… But I’m betting he had a medical issue that caused the accident. (Particularly because they are calling it a “traffic incident.”)

14. I’ve never understood this approach. It’s the perimeter gate of the Whitehouse ffs. If you’re going to be an urban terrorist, it doesn’t forgive the total lack of intelligence gathering, where the realisation “we’re going to need a bigger truck” would have saved a lot of death stuff. Like maybe a tank would have been a little bit more appropriate.

    Not advocating this approach, just nitpicking.

15. Fun fact – I was on a field trip to Washington DC in the 8th grade. We went to walk in front of the White House. This was the last day that vehicles were allowed to drive on the steet. The next day it was shut down by President Clinton. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.

16. It sucks that 5 hours passes before a capitol breach can make it to someone like me, deluded enough to respect the aesthetic of traffic laws and interior design. Seriously, some of my favorite thoughts in the matter of juxtoposition of my mood and the success of business has been how corporations benefit the government better without the use of people who are basically great at focusing the topic of inversion indoors, with astral projection related to MapleStory M and the many focuses of MoonSniper: who can basically duplicate inversions of astronomy indoors with the concept of xenophobic art related to the pieces shared in forums like MapleStory M, which very well put the type of architectural integrity related to inspired scenery that requires an amount of repeating juxtaposition that is accomplished with The Dark Side of the Moon and becoming the absolute defacto mechanic of the Dark Side of the Moon without even being told, knowing that what really happens with saying anything with a cellphone when people like The Dark Side of the Moon are not taking the concept of receiving light sometimes while on the Dark Side of the Moon to any significant process while the use of such things like News, Focus from the Government, Solving World Hunger, and making the world belong to Maple for the ends it would have… it makes a surprising amount of sense.

17. I visited DC with a buddy back in the summer of 2017, and we went to get photos out front of the White House. In addition to the permanent fencing, there was also a second layer of crowd-control style fencing a few feet further out, and several heavily armed guards stationed between the two.

    It wasn’t a particularly busy or otherwise tense day, so we asked one of the guards if there was a reason for the extra layer of fencing. He said it is essentially permanent.

    He told us that just the day before they had to arrest a woman who continued to visit and attempt to breach the perimeter because she believed Michelle Obama was inside and was holding this woman’s children hostage.

    He said that nearly every day featured some sort of similar, unhinged interaction – not all related to the Obamas necessarily, but certainly some sort of delusional behavior.

    There are a lot of unwell people out there who aren’t thinking clearly and seek to gain access to the White House. I’m honestly surprised we don’t hear about more situations like this.
