  1. RIP Yosser Hughes, King Théoden, Captain Edward Smith

    Films that have touched many of us over the years.

  2. Out of doubt, out of dark, to the day’s rising

    he rode singing in the sun, sword unsheathing.

    Hope he rekindled, and in hope ended;

    over death, over dread, over doom lifted

    out of loss, out of life, unto long glory.

    Hail Théoden King

  3. I go to my fathers. And even in their mighty company I shall not now be ashamed.

  4. Oh no oh no oh no! Christ he seemed no age. Yosser Hughes and the Duke of Norfolk in one man. What sad news. RIP.

  5. Aw, man. He was great! I met him a few times as he lived near where I grew up and used to come into the supermarket where I worked for his weekly shop. He was notorious for being a bit of a grouch but was always up for taking part in community events and used to raffle off bits of his LoTR wardrobe and bits he’d kept from shooting the movies for fundraising events.

  6. he was supposed to be at comic con this weekend. i hope everyone who wanted to see him is okay

  7. He absolutely nailed the Role of King Théoden 20 years later I still get chills at his speech at the battle of pelennor fields Forth Eorlingas!

  8. King Théoden was one of my favourite characters in The Lord of the Rings, in both the book and the film. He did an absolutely wonderful job portraying him.

    “I go to my fathers, in whose mighty company, I shall now not feel ashamed.”

    Rest in peace.

  9. He was brilliant in Lord of the Rings and the Titanic

  10. “I go now to my fathers, in who’s mighty company I shall not now feel ashamed.”

    RIP King
