    That’s my first thought with climate change.

  2. The olympics do matter.  They’ve gotten way too expensive in recent years, but that’s another matter.  

    It’s one on the only times regular people get together across the world for a common goal.  They remind us of our shared humanity.  There is a reason the tradition has hung around since the ancient Greeks.  It adds value to society.

    If climate change threatens something as enduring as the olympics, it surely is a sign the world is in for a hard time.
