I despair. The Ben Nevis summit shelter is, as the name suggests, a refuge for people who may require it in an emergency. Instead it’s been used as a dumping ground for selfish people who can’t be bothered to take their sh!t home.

Good people keep clearing (& cleaning) it out from the irresponsible mindless fuckwits who abuse it
time for a couple of CCTV cameras? and then make the culprits go back and clean it up trekking back up the mountain with cleaning supplies and bring all the crap (literal it appears) back down
slightly off topic but folk have no idea what they’re getting into when they try going up it. the amount of folk wearing flimsy sandals halfway up is ridiculous. i once seen a woman wearing high heels…
There is no answer to this other than paying for people to go and routinely clean it up. The public are just cunts

Hiked it in 1998 with a few workmates. One of us scolded a group of training soldiers on the rubbish they left. They were non plussed by the telling off from an Irishman . Anyway, it was one of the best experiences of my life. Beautiful place
