I wish people would stop posting George Galloway on here because every time it brings back the trauma of watching that cat performance.
George Galloway would lose most of his voting base if he believe in lgbt relationships or marriages.
I just listened to the whole clip he was crying about and honestly LBC didn’t do him dirty here, he moves on the conversation to gay people in his original interview from talking about genders.
Amazing how thin skinned he is.
Galloway is an old-school socialist, a relatively honest man in a field full of liars. It’s not surprising that the mainstream media doesn’t like him, but it is slightly (and I mean very, very slightly) surprising that you guys have fallen for it.
Ah well, he’s going to take seats in majority Muslim constituencies from Labour regardless.
Edit: Here they come… Queue up the Left4Dead Tank music
How do we let these people get to where they are?
Clearly shows a lot of people share his views I guess which is damn right sad.
man who was a spokesperson for Russian and Iranian state news dislikes gay people… shocker
He’s clearly taking a page out of khan’s playbook of pandering to the muslim voters, a winning tactic when westerners are split on most issues and feel politically homeless.
The country needs proportional representation now.
FURTHER INFORMATION: Khan once called moderate muslims Uncle Toms.
I wonder how much Russia are paying him to disrupt the General Election
I don’t understand why he wouldn’t want to discuss it if he had a rational explanation for his views.
Bigot comes out for bigots. No surprise there with this shape shifting cretin.
Probably the most demonstrably evil presence in British politics
He seems to mistakenly conflate different definitions ‘normal’ —there are many
‘Social norms/deviance’, ‘statistical norms/frequency’, ‘dysfunctional’ etc
Gay parents are statistically infrequent compared to heterosexual couples and so ‘not normal’…but the same is true of having 2 ginger parents. You wouldn’t say ‘it’s not normal’ (I actually wonder which is rarer a gay couple with kids in the U.K. or two ginger parents)—-because we most frequently use the other definitions when deciding whether things are ‘normal’
What Galloway said in the interview (I suspect a large number of British people would agree with the statement):
>**GG**: *I want my children to be taught that the normal thing in Britain, in society across the world is a mother, a father, and a family. I want them to be taught that there are gay people in the world and that they must be treated with respect and affection as I treat my own gay friends and colleagues with respect and affection. But I don’t want my children to be taught that these things are equal because I don’t believe those relationships to be equal – apart from anything else it it was normal it would be the end of humanity over a couple of generations.*
>*(they go back and forth on the same point for a little while, the interview notes that GG voted for* gay marriage)
>**Interviewer:** but the point is you voted for a piece of legislation which implicitly recognises equality under the law for gay people.
>**GG**: *I got a Stonewall award (Pro LGTB book award) for recognising…*
>**Interviewer:** really?
>**GG**: *because I was one of only a handful of MPs who opposed the reduction in the age of consent from 21 to 18 rather than 16 and Stonewall asked us not to accept this entirely discriminatory new law. I was one of the few Labour MPs at the time that voted for 16 instead of 18*…(he continues on this for a bit)
>*…*
>**GG**: *I rejected that policy and I have the proud honour of receiving that Stonewall award, so I believe in equality, but I don’t want my children to be taught at school that mom, dad and the kids is exactly the same as Adam and Steve.*
>**Interviewer:** (gives anecdote about how lesbian couple he knows seem like great parents and doesn’t think it’d make a difference)
>**GG**: *I hope that that is true, but I believe in biological sex, I believe that men and women – ying and yang – are the norm, and it should be taught as the norm* ***with the heavy caveat that where someone is not the norm, that they have to be treated with respect and affection.***
The full interview can be seen here (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sw4cjsiBLw8)
I love the fact most of the comments on the YT video 90% agree with Galloway.
A more socially conservative party offering left wing economic policy is a threat to the status quo in Britain.
The first line of Galloway’s worker’s party’s pre-manifesto “Key issues” piece is this:
The Workers Party of Britain:
* **is committed to the redistribution of wealth and power in favour of working people.**
and also
* will **fully renationalise the NHS** and commit to significant spending on social and economic infrastructure and implement major efficiency savings.
I linked the full interview the LBC host is referencing in another comment for those interested, but these are the kinds of attacks and skewed interview processes you’ll continue to see over the coming months from the British establishment.
I keep seeing rich toffs tell me how I can’t possibly vote for Galloway’s left wing redistributive economic reforms because he has basic catholic views on gay people – views that call for respect for the human but disagree that it’s the same as a heterosexual marriage.
I wonder how successful the toffs will be in convincing people who are keen on economic change?
Typical grifter bully, 30p, Galloway, Lolz Fox, Piers Morgan…they all run off crying when they’re challenged.
Homophobic scumbag, plain and simple.
Have your religion, believe what you like, but do not force it upon others.
Anyone who supports this man and his candidates needs rooting out.
What has he achieved during the course of his decades long political career aside from amassing personal wealth and attention to feed his ego?
He seems a dour little grifter who’ll affect almost any imposture imaginable to court another 5 minutes.
The ironically named and failed ‘respect’ party he headed a few years ago ultimately disintegrated into nothing when the above became apparent to those within it’s ranks. The only legacy of it seemingly a lingering sense of foolishness and squander of time or energy for those swept up in it…
Wasn’t he also a recurring presenter on the UK variant of Russia Today?
His most vocal detractors don’t seem far wrong when they accuse him of being a Complete and utter grifter.
Sadly, there are plenty of his followers about who are happy to throw LGBT people under the bus. Seen at least one say “we should be uniting against genocide not fighting over Galloway’s social views”
After this interview, will LBC renew Lewis’s contract? I mean, I do hope so, but LBC has replaced others before.
I just can’t get past that hat! No matter how much I tell myself I’m being awfully shallow, I can’t stop staring it it. It’s hypnotic in its incongruety.
I think the great creative community here at Reddit should give him a new hat befitting his station and integrity.
What a pathetic and obvious ambush by a establishment journo! The more concerted effort by these guys to discredit someone and something, the more on it is. Instead of trying to understand what drove the wave of the protest vote against LABCON, they keep pushing this mad George narrative
It seems that the issue of gay rights is where the atom is split with this woke-Islamist discourse
It’s common knowledge that homosexuality is an effect of estrogen poisoning. Wouldn’t it be better to tackle the root cause than to debate whether it is ok or not?
I shocked by his attitude. Won’t be voting for him now.
The slightest bit of pressure and he ran like a scalded cat.
Who cares what George thinks. His opinions are always nothing like mine so I don’t care.
