4. A real hard border wouldn’t have 300 border crossings. They would just block/close/fence/wall the majority of the crossings and force everyone through a few crossings. That’s how it works for any hard border in the world, where people wait hours in queues to cross.

   That’s another reason why a hard border would be so devastating. Its not just having to get checked when you cross, its adding potentially hours onto a cross-island journey, which would have significant economic impact as well.

5. He is wrong. We can have autonomous dogs with guns strapped to them and drones as air support. They can patrol an area with a invisible barrier that when broken whistles for the dogs along with air support to eviscerate the invaders.

   However, I’m sure we can implement a border between Derry and the rest of Northern Ireland. Maybe even put an enormous dome around it to keep them all inside. We could study their behaviours to better understand them and, perhaps, one day, even help them become civilised people.
