  1. We make lots of jokes about the French in the UK but I think it’s probably because we have a begrudging respect, the country equivalent of ‘wee mental Davie the apprentice joiner’.

  5. So if France enters the war, does that invoke Article 5 and obligate other NATO members to come to it’s defense?

With France offering to put troops on the goround and the UK saying openly that Ukraine can fire anything we give them at ruzzia, it has been particularly quiet in retaliatory retoric usual of the kremlin. What; no threats to nuke the west ?? maybe ruzzia isn’t really up for a fight with Europe or NATO.
