Hi! I left Belgium this past December after living there as an international student for 2 years. I filed an early tax return on paper but recently got a tax bill that makes me think I made a mistake specifically for item 1199.

The only income I made in 2023 was from 2 months at a student job, which is well under the threshold for being taxed (< 5k eur). When filing taxes, I put 2 under item 1199 (not sure why, I didn’t really understand the question as I don’t speak any Flemish and someone mentioned I should be filling it in if I left Belgium early). After getting the tax bill requesting a payment of ~400 eur, I went back and found some further explanation for 1199 which I think (based on Google translate) indicated that item 1199 should NOT be filled in/should be 0 if only income made is from a student job.

Can anyone who fully understands the language confirm/deny? I’ve attached the original wording for it.

That is the only item I filled in for taxes aside from specifying my income (item 1250), so I’m not sure where else I could’ve gone wrong to be asked to pay on such a low income. Thanks in advance 😅
