I remember watching this on my phone, the second half anyway, pulled over on the side of the road, since I was “working” at the time.
Just in utter disbelief at the audacity of Vinnie to do this and the magnificent curve and height of the ball to get past Schmeichel. Amazing. Won us the league.
I remember watching this live, seeing him walking around the Etihad with his kids clapping to the fans with tears in his eyes and knowing he was retiring at the end of the season.
It was so bittersweet to know he’d likely won us the league with such a crucial goal in what was to be his last season.
Oh captain my captain. Surely there will never be none like Kompany.
Morale was low at half time on the concourse. Blues just couldn’t see it happening. I told all the blues in the bogs it will come. I just knew it was coming but i didn’t expect vinny scoring a wonder goal!
I got squashed by the blues behind when he scored and bruised all my legs. Was mint.
Everytime this gets posted I still rewatch it about 10 times.
