  1. > The motion which set out the strategy agreed at the SNP’s special conference last year says that if the party win the majority of Scottish seats at the next election, the Scottish Government would be “empowered to begin immediate negotiations with the UK Government to give democratic effect to Scotland becoming an independent country”

    Great news.

  2. It’s the only path Scotland has left after Westminister tyranny.

  3. Humza Yousaf had an Independence strategy?

    I’m not having it.

  4. So there goes waiting and seeing if the Swinster was going to mark a change of focus, as he speedruns towards the pile of non-serious people.

  5. I like to believe I’m fairly well informed about these things but can somebody please enlighten me what his strategy was because I honestly don’t know.

  6. Oh for goodness sakes he started so well.

Ah well, catastrophic failure on the cards

  7. Disappointing but expected, given his hands are tied by a Conference decision. He should come out against the policy and say he’ll try convince the membership for a different approach come their autumn conference

  8. It’s almost like the politicians know there is no magic bullet to make independence happen any time soon, without at the very least moving the polls somewhat.

  9. A majority of seats isn’t going to work.

It needs to be a majority of votes. Can’t argue against 50%+ percent of Scots wanting to go.

  10. Humza’s strategy was a total triumph. This is excellent news for the weedgie fleg marchers.
