75% of Covid ICU patients still have issues a year later

  1. I wonder how that compares exactly to other diseases people end up in the ICU for? From what I understand, ICU is no joke for anyone really. And what is the average age of people coming out of the ICU alive after COVID?

Btw, I am not trying to downplay COVID at all, it is a nasty disease. I was ill for a month despite full vaccination (fortunately no hospital or ICU needed). But medical science should be 100% fact-driven, and these are relevant facts in order to understand what is really going on.

  2. I think part of the health problems come from the COVID itself and part from the therapy that in ICU is, obviously, strong. As an example, a friend of mine was admitted to ICU in March 2020, remained in hospital for over a month and came back home with a heart irregularity, diabetes and lung problems.
