  1. Is it really high profile when “former” is involved?

  2. > Former

Only part of the headline that’s relevant. This guy doesn’t matter.

  3. The Democratic presidential nominee wants to preserve democracy. The Republican presidential nomimee does not. It’s a no brainer who to back.

  4. >Duncan, who is also a former professional baseball player and state lawmaker, was recruited to join the centrist third-party presidential ticket backed by No Labels earlier this year, but he ultimately declined.

When he realized the whole point of “No Labels” was to be a spoiler for Trump.

  5. I’m glad to hear there are still some Republicans who care about the good of our country!!

  6. Wow! This is huge. His state could decide the whole enchilada.

  7. Anddd…..he is now probably getting death threats.

  8. Hell yeah, all state Republicans that aren’t MAGA nuts should defect immediately, if you want a conservative party, that’s perfectly fine, but you gotta bring it back to fucking reality.

The idea of austerity isn’t a bad thing, but the GOP are not only less austere than the Dems, but they are also incredibly reactionary and regressive.

So few sincere attempts to govern, only spurring to life when they have the opportunity to scapegoat and dictate the lives of others, or if they can possibly do anything for the most misanthropic portion of the 1%. It’s incredible that some people aren’t able to see through that, and others desire it.

  9. Back trump if you want this to be your last real election.

  10. what? morals & courage in a republican? he’s always shown he does since trumps phone call seeking 11,000 votes!

  11. We’re going to weed out the folks who don’t want bipartisan democracy and it starts with things like this.

  12. “This November, I am voting for a decent person I disagree with on policy over a criminal defendant without a moral compass”. I’ll fucking take that.

  13. Cool and all but wouldn’t it be nice if these people said these things before they were former politicians?

  14. I’m hoping the entire party implodes later this year so people like Duncan, Liz Cheney, and Adam Kinzinger can start a rebuild from the rubble. I won’t vote for them, but I’d like to have a sane opponent to argue with.

  15. FINALLY *someone* from the GOP who’s currently in office. Christ.

Edit: lol, nope. Former Lt. Gov. Sigh.

Well, good for him anyway. But CHRIST.

  16. Probably a dude who sees the writing on the wall. He’s okay with a lot of awful things, but the right is going full fascism and is doing everything in their power to downfall democracy in our country.

Some people have enough morals not to side with hitler part 2.

  17. Funny how you have to be a former gop official to realize the truth publicly
