Why do we want trees to cool cities up? It’s hot enough, we need trees to cool down the cities!
I know, It’s awesome. We need municipalities to acknowledge this too, so they can start planting.
I think greenery is awesome in cities and can really make so-so spaces look beautiful. Not that trash should be ignored, but even ‘dumpier’ looking areas look like night and day different some some tasteful trees!
Too bad all those damm houses are in the way for planting trees.
And this is true. All cities should be filled with native trees from their areas. That translates to very low maintenance required, as well as they would help to maintain their native trees. Native trees enjoy their climate, they don’t die during cold or warm spells, they don’t need extra irrigation, so no special care. A greener Europe is possible!

Funny that they used a pic of Princes Street Gardens where a whole load of trees were recently [removed](https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-edinburgh-east-fife-45914021).
Urban landscapes are better with foliage.

No, lack of trees make it hotter.
