Rosslare Europort been putting in a massive effort to improve their facilities, increase capacity and improve road connections for the past few years. If they had started a couple of years earlier, at this pace, they could have soaked up even more of the post-brexit work.
Very impressive all the same and they are setting themselves up for longterm success.
In my ideal world, this would be our main port and then goods could be transport to the rest of the country by freight train. That would require quadruple tracking the Wexford line for the length that the DART goes along which would need a very long tunnel.
This will give Holyhead an awful freight
Love the way we dropped millions on Dublin port upgrades when it was pretty obvious the British landbridge would be phased out.
