I’ll tell you three secrets about the snails dish:
1. Snails is like periwinkle, it’s nothing special, foreigners tend to make a big deal of the former and not the latter, it’s about the image.
2. It has little taste. The sauce is what gives the taste.
2. It’s not something people eat so commonly, it’s ok to not like it.
I like snails a lot not gonna lie. The problem is we get such childish “ewwww” reaction from foreigners it’s basically making people feel insecure about it. I say fuck that. Yes we eat snails. Get the fuck over it already.

It’s not that common to eat snails in France, but if you do they’re essentially just a vehicle for garlic butter anyway.
