Paris university to host Gaza debate after protests • FRANCE 24 English
well today a so-called town hall is being held here in Paris now this is at se Poe University it’s like a debate really about the war in Gaza that after several days ago Pro Palestinian students occupied part of the building at se po students then being encouraged to debate the issue and our senior reporter James Andre is there for us James tell us what this event is all about and and what the situation there is then yes well exactly what happened last Friday basically is that this road behind me was completely closed this University sence politi par which is one of the main uh politics students University here in here in France the most prestigious one was basically occupied by students last Friday and during this occupation well uh the management of the school was also trying to find a solution to deescalate the situation the government was actually intervened with by the voice of Gabriel atal who voiced the complaint that this was happening here and said things needed to be taken into uh you know to to be calmed down so what was negotiated on on that Friday in this very building was this town hall that’s taking place today the idea is to have a debate an honest debate about the situation uh in Gaza and uh the Israeli current war on uh Hamas over there and indeed while the students here the teachers the university uh unions uh but also some political members of the the political field here in France are going to be meeting here we’re talking about about 320 people there are 15 speakers who scheduled to talk in the first place that’s for about an hour and then uh there will be a Q&A and a debate in uh the one of the main um rooms here uh at this University the objective is uh to try and basically calm all the students down in a sense if you will now all the various sh schools across France CU there are a few have been invited here one has been banned from part and that is the school in M because while they did not respect what was broken they had a sit in on Monday and as a result the management of uh CP decided that they were not coming today so it is pretty tense here uh ATP and the idea is to try and calm things down at a time where indeed there is a bit of momentum in a sense here in France we saw a protest this was uh Tuesday at lurbon with a large Palestinian flag and basically uh the things Brewing of course Under the Influence as well of what’s going on on the other side of the Atlantic in the United States
The prestigious French university the Paris Institute of Political Studies, known as Sciences Po, will host a town hall debate on the war in Gaza on Thursday, partly in a bid to ease tensions after pro-Palestinian students attempted to occupy an amphitheater at the university last week. France 24’s senior reporter James Andre has more.

debate require good faith from both side yo achieve significant meaningful results. but we know one side has continuously being "dishonest" and when their argument proven to be misleading they move the goalpost. they repeat their dishonesty over and over again with impunity from western journalists.
it would be better for their supporters who say they are against war crimes to go to the crime scene themselves and see how the most moral army at works.

Israeli war on Hamas is quite rather disturbing framing. Maybe Israel war "in" Gaza, Israel war "on" Gaza, or Israel war on Palestinians considering the West Bank is also under attack. Otherwise, it's just the Israeli narrative with a veneer of lack of bias.
