King Charles’ second snub to Prince Harry was no accident after four years of son’s attacks

this timing is deliberate it’s to send a deliberate message to Harry that the royal family have not forgotten what has been happening over the last four years most commentators certainly thought that uh the king and Harry would meet and that there would be time at this very very stressful period obviously with the King recovering from cancer and undergoing treatment but nonetheless despite the fact that he’s got a full Diary uh that they would be meeting this isn’t the case and obviously people have been analyzing as to why but I think we remember when Harry naturally as any son would saw King Charles after he was told that he had a cancer diagnosis and the two of them some have disputed they met a very short length of time we don’t know actually how that meeting went no one has said and naturally they haven’t however afterwards Harry did as the sussexes are want to do this business of giving an interview not about the content of their meeting but what he said was and Good Morning America that he thought that the fact the King was Ill this could reunify the royal family and so forth making comments about uh bridging gaps and also there were sources who were hinting that Harry might be prepared to step in and do some Royal duties now that hasn’t been confirmed of course but the problem is this and I think this is what King Charles uh does not want the sussexes seem almost invariably to be involved with media activity uh when they see or involved even in sensitive issues I I don’t think that the king wanted Harry to go on television and talk even in general terms about the family coming together this happens obviously in times of uh serious illness but this was not only a private meeting but had Harry kept it completely private and not made any comments I think that would have been preferable and the problem here is that we’ve known for some time time that uh there was the service at St Paul to commemorate Invictus which is a wonderful project but the problem again has been and we had this before the coronation as well would Harry and Megan attend if so I mean as it happened Harry did and she didn’t and in these for the service at St Paul’s Harry’s attending and Megan isn’t for obvious reasons she’s not popular there’s enormous po press hostility and um frankly it’s own fault in my opinion but the facts are she’s wise not to however it’s clear I think to the king and obviously he was very very distressed by Harry’s attacks on Queen Camila not just in Spar but also in interviews the implication that the sussexes were sacrificed on the altar of uh Queen kima’s desire for rehabilitation all of this this this whole area and I think that he also regards the fact that there’s this media circus around the event at St Paul’s would he see would Harry see the king would he see William and cathine this was never lightly the facts are that there’s a very deep Rift in the royal family and if harri made I mean the king’s made it clear that um obviously he will we know he’s kept the door open uh he will in a future occasion see Harry but in my view it’s the best way of handling this and the only way of handling it not to mention the idea that this Rift is Riv is deep and very very public now especially since the king is making William colonel in Chief of the Army Air and Harry served in the Army Air cor and his second ter of Duty in Afghanistan he was unwise in spare to list the number of Taliban he personally killed at that time but the facts are that he has an important link with the regiment and the facts are also that there’s a ceremony next Monday which the king and that the Royals do nothing by accident this timing is deliberate it’s to send a deliberate message to Harry that the royal family have not forgotten what has been happening over the last four years remember that Oprah went out when Prince Phillip was in hospital now the facts are that they didn’t know that he was going to be in hospital when it was planned and of course there were all sorts of reasons why it might not have been in the sussex’s control and might have been up to Oprah and the television company to pull it but the facts were that it appeared utterly tasteless especially since the mon thereafter try sadly he died just short of his H 100th birthday of course which would have been in June that year and Prince Phillip was Harry’s father sorry Prince Phillip was King Charles’s father he hasn’t forgotten that and that is just one very very significant episode because OED enormous damage to the royal family and the Sussex is as I say uh knew exactly what they were doing and so you’ve got a background to this that is deeply unhappy you’ve got a total lack of trust that’s abundantly clear and so far as Williams concerned I I can’t see the rift ever being um bridged at least not at the moment and at least not under the circumstances that we’re we’re looking at now I mean the appointment as colonel-in-chief of the army at call the fact that this is going to take place this next Monday that there’s going to be a ceremony obviously it sends a message to Harry who served with the uh Army Air cor and there’s no question that it was meant to it’s been timed for now quite deliberately so it will depend as so far as the rift is concerned as I read it as to whether or not the Sussex is at some future occasion Harry comes over he doesn’t tell anyone he’s coming he and the King could then spend quite a long time together hady for example uh had a more Extended Stay in Britain this week that might conceivably have happened even under the current circumstances I’ve been describing but we know that he and Megan had fixed up a trip to Nigeria Nigeria is a member of the Commonwealth the Sussex is had talking heads on their documentary Harry and Megan for Netflix who trashed the Commonwealth which was Queen Elizabeth um great achievement and her Legacy really and I think that that was considered utterly tasteless there is no doubt at all that if whilst in Nigeria if they could be persuaded if Harry or Megan would make they obviously making speeches in one way or another I don’t know their schedule I don’t think it’s been announced but it would be helpful if they made a comment that was favorable about the Commonwealth Nigeria is a member of the Commonwealth that uh was suspended in part of the 1990s but nonetheless it may well host the future Invictus games if Harry Megan were to make a comment that was favorable to the Commonwealth I’m sure it would be appreciated by the royal family essentially the royal family before they want anything to do with the susex is perfectly clear want to make sure that they won’t be subject to further attacks and that media the media um at least for the time being uh this media circus that surrounding everything they’re doing uh is not acceptable so if Harry wants to see the king and came over privately and didn’t tell anyone and didn’t announce it I’m sure that that would be appreciated

  2. How long are these people going to be nasty while trying to block everything good that Prince Harry does. Harry & Meghan are much loved in the UK and in America. We also know why the media is trying very hard to keep up mess now that Harry & Meghan are going to Nigeria. They are going to be welcomed as HRH's and the people are going to love on them Big time.

  3. Ask the other half of your question… why is harry always scheduling events on the same days his father the King has a full calendar or receiving another treatment for his cancer? It's a double-edged sword isn't it… Oh, yes, It's hard to become enthused over a child that is never seen and had parents who have hidden him from his birth.

  7. Harry proved once again on his last 12 minute visit, that his visits are merely self serving. He made 50 headlines out of 12 minutes & endless television & media puff pieces put out by the sussexes about 'reconciliations, helping out TRF part time' etc etc. That clearly was the reason for that visit & why on earth would KC want a repeat performance. He has shut that down and not before time. It's about time they accept the choice they made and get on with a different life in the US.

    Right now the World has no regard or respect for the Monarchy. Like AP said they are like North Korea and that is a very low blow to their image.

  10. I'm shocked and beyond sad that NOT 1 family member was there for him or the people he represents, vets, armed service people & mental health. There is not one thing in his book i I hadn't assumed happened with him as a parent, husband, son, brother, king. as well as Camilla. however all Harry did was say what happened to HIM and life from his point of view. (We all remember all the Scandals?) he has been through so much and its like everyone forgot, I lost my parents both sudden/young. You don't try and hurt you family on purpose when you know they are hurting, he lost family friends, family, Home, House, Child… no one looks at the things that happened. like talking so mean about his wife and hurting him. how can one one see how a Grown woman how has been in control of everything in he life to, not be allowed to walk on the carpet because she's not royal? they took the home his Grandmother gave them for their wedding, and promised him he would always have a place and love from his family??? the should be call "The Royals" that's it. because it took Cancer for the media to finally shut up and feel anything, these are family's and maybe they forgot. how do you go talking about the importance of family and mental Health? Our kids watch us way more then what we tell them, one day they will all have to answer " why did you all leave uncle harry and his family and never talk again"? I pray they're kinder and more unconditional love than they watched. If this is not a time for formality and family then when?? what would diana think?

  20. I get a bit of tired of this media and public sympathy for Harry. No doubt, King Charles loves his son without reservation, but he can't be expected to placate and coddle him anymore. The King also loves, without reservation, his late parents Queen Eizabeth and Prince Philip, his wife Camilla, his beloved son William, his daughter in law Catherine. Harry has publicly attacked and deeply wounded everyone Charles loves. It was a horrible situation to place your father in. Shame on you Harry, time to grow up.

    If he had given the required advance notice and confirmed his arrival in the UK, a meeting would have been arranged. Deluded to expect the king to rearrange his appointments on a whim! How disrespectful.

  29. Harry has not forgotten how they treated him and his beloved wife. Charles never treated Harry lovingly from childhood. It was Diana who protected Harry, so there is nothing new.

  34. Harry should forget his negligent father forever..He should happily move on with his life.. Time on earth is too short to waste on cruel, neglectful family.. He has his own wife and children to love and care for.. STOP WASTING Time on cold, cruel UK ROYALS..
