Gaza protests: French students demand an end to ties with Israeli universities • FRANCE 24 English

honestly we wouldn’t have wanted this to get on up until here because we didn’t want to dis to disrupt the the academic life but this is what the the direction wants and this is the consequences of their silence and comp complicity we ask them for things that are very clear and very easy for them to to meet but they didn’t we asked them very simply to take off all the sanctions against the students Pro Palestinian students and they didn’t that they they said they will re-trigger it if they need so this is just blackmailing and we can’t hand we can’t take that so students now are on Hunger Strike so things are going a bit harsher just because the the administration is not listening the to us they do not care we did not have any answer to any of our questions or any other of our demands so this is the natural consequences so for now they have started since 2 pm today they will continue to do so until our demands are met specifically the investigation with the part the partnership of universities who are directly or indirectly uh complicit of violation of international law

Student protests against Israel have entered their second week in France. A town hall event Thursday at the prestigious Sciences Po university in Paris ended with the administration refusing to create a working group to investigate ties with Israeli universities, which students across France want to see cut over the war in Gaza. It is just one demand of many that are motivating students across France and beyond to keep protesting.

  6. Protest for sure. But no need to destroy where you are or those that need to get on with study. You are fortunate to have the opportunity to be there to be able to study.
