  1. That offside scandal aside, this was one of our worst attacking displays in years. It was so painful to see our attack struggle to even connect two passes together. Also, we genuinely need a consistent winger on whom we can rely upon because Sane, Coman and Gnabry will drop world class performances at the start of the season and will slowly disappear when we need them the most. This has been the case for the past couple of years, and this level of inconsistency is unacceptable for the wages they are being paid.

  2. Funny how people are saying Real deserved to go through. They almost always go through the worse side in these ties and I rarely hear the majority talk about “deservedness” then, yet the one time they indeed were the better team it’s only natural that they “deserved”.

    Also a bit amusing how their fans are bringing up some decision in a fucking LaLiga game when they were already lightyears ahead on the table to say they get fucked over by the ref too (btw, I am not supporting any conspiracy here, the ref team just made an honest mistake).

  4. de Ligt was one of the best players on the pitch last night, only behind maybe Kroos and Vinicius, and he didn’t have to act like a mindless brute to put in an absolute top defensive performance, unlike others.

    I know all of this is barely soft enough for a foul but safe to say it drains down and affects the players and ultimately the outcome of the game

    If not for Kane’s immense body strength he would have also been Cooked as bad as Haaland was

I’m over the match already, I kinda have to be because there is no point beating myself up on this one and make me feel bad, but I have to say that Madrid fans are one of the biggest cunts in football. The amount of trolls and asshole we had to and have to ban and delete since yesterday is ridiculous. I hope Black Magzic tears them a new one.

  10. Ending it on a big “what if” is not how a game of this magnitude is supposed to end. And it wasn’t the only time the referee decided against Bayern. Two balls at the same time, Mendy’s and Rüdiger’s blatant fouls without a booking; for once I’d like to see the teams decide the result, not the referee.

    But honestly we have ourselves to blame for most of it. We went from setting a passing record to being unable to string together two. Only a couple of lineup changes (dare I say improvements) and we made Vinicius look like the best player in the world. Choosing not to replace our offence with players like Tel and Goretzka and parking the bus with a good amount of time left. We equally sabotaged our chances.

    Inconsistency has been a theme this season. We’ve had good games which have invariably led to displays where we looked like punching above our weight.

  12. Im still bitter about the neuer mistake. Im baffled. I knpw hes human, i know hes the goatkeeper but manu bby how. How. How can you make such a mistake after putting up a goat performance. Madrid were the mentality midgets for once and that howler brought them back. Id rather have him not make the saves he did and have us be 4-0 down than make a mistake like THAT in the 88th minute when the game is semi killed off. Ugh. We almost did a real madrid to real madrid. Fucking hell man. More than the defeat im gonna have the worst time accepting that our goatkeeper did that.

    Youd think that after 2018 and the first leg id get used to.mistakes our team commits but. Sigh. Fucking hell man we should be in Wembley. Instead those arrogant bastards are gonna be boasting about the 15th.

    1. Why does Tuchel set us up like some division 2 team from the first minute? If it wasn’t for Neuers MOTM display, they would’ve been 3-0 up.

    2. Once again, and just like I said, I wasn’t afraid of Real or their closed roof, I was afraid of us fucking ourselves up. The miss from Kane, the shit pass from Müller, the failure to close down Vini a single time, the fail from Neuer..

    3. The subs. Once again, the subs. If you’re going to park the bus like we’re Chelsea, why bring on Choupo and Müller as if they’re players you can counter with? Kane has played every single minute in the Bundesliga, but he can’t play the last five minutes now?

    Why not bring on Tel instead, someone you can counter with? Why not bring on Goretzka, and close off that little fucker Vinicius who had destroyed Kimmich the whole match?

    That is exactly why Tuchel should leave. Leave out how shit we’ve played under him, just focus on yesterday. The fact that he sets us up like losers from the first minute, and makes those dumb ass subs (not the first time btw), shows that he doesn’t understand what kind of a club he’s at.

    Let him fuck off back to Chelsea.

    And I don’t even need to comment on that farcical decision by the ref

    We had the game in our hands, we were five minutes away from breaking the cycle against this disgusting insitution, and we gave it away.

    This loss will leave a bitter taste in my mouth for years to come.

  14. So let’s talk about it, do you guys really think we were robbed?

    Because the way i see it, this one decision well after overtime is not the reason we lost. Our offense was not really there, we played an insanely risky “Park the Bus” strategy that is high risk, high reward and at the end of the day had well over 180 minutes to bring this thing home and just were not good enough. I see lots of mistakes on our side of the table that accumulated to this, to me atleast right now the ref decision is whatever, was not a guaranteed goal anyways.

  18. the underlying issue which still remains is the lack of quality in the final 3, if you look at the season you will find most of the time it was kane and only kane who was consistent in almost all games throughout the season,

    The quality of players on the bench is also questionable especially against top clubs

    It’s easy to blame Tuchell and Manu here , but the fact is if our final 3 were more clinical the game wouldn’t even have gone this far, not to forget that the one goal which we did get was from Davies of all people

  22. I’m devastated and tired of these scenarios. Why the mistakes are always against us ? Why real madrid 0 injuries and we have only 18 fit players including some who are just fighting to play ? Just why

  23. We were the better team yesterday and Madrid was absolutely toothless in the second half. Neuer mistake who had a GOAT performance until then and Muller wrong pass is the reason we didn’t win. Madrid has been extremely lucky the last decade with everything going in their favour never against.

  24. Yesterday was fucked up and I’m still very much in denial about the way we lost this game, but overall we can be very proud of our CL achievement this season. We nearly made it to the final of the Champions League, despite having one of the worst seasons in the last decade.

    We *will* come back stronger. I don’t know how but I can feel it.

    is it so hard to just lose in a normal manner? the result is surely not undeserved overall

    i cant be mad at neuer, he kept us in the game and he catches these balls 999 out of 1000 times, but i will say that i cant understand why he tried to throw the ball before the goal

    for fucks sake just hit it long into madrids half and we are good

    and of course the new uefalona strikes again, i was so sure the same shit from the past wouldnt happen again with VAR and it still did

    this is straight up match fixing at this point, to blow that whistle early is crazy

    we have watched chances play out despite a guy being 3 meters offside all year

    this ref crew did things correctly just a few minutes earlier, let it play out and the goal was legit, but in the last scene on this stage the ref jumped to blow it dead in a nanosecond

    honest mistakes look different

    real were the better team and i honestly see us getting cooked in extra time, because we looked dead in the water

  27. Our womens team can win the Double (DFB Pokal) today. Would definitely cheer me up a bit after yesterday’s gut punch.

  28. I hope some of our precious youngsters make a step forward in their development.

    – Pavlovic, I think he’s already amazing, he’s calm with the ball, switches of play are good. But I’d hope he can be more aggressive going forward, maybe a bit more ball carrying, and make more impact in the final 3rd.

    – Musiala will need to keep improving his final decision. Heads up, knowing when to lay the pass for a quick 1-2, and better pass quality, as a very high chance he’d be use mainly as a 10 next summer.

    – Tel might also need to step up big next season. We can’t rely on the 3 senior wingers for the whole season anymore, and Tel has to produce quick. If things go the right way I can see him starting for us in UCL big matches soon.

    – For the senior players, let’s just hope some of them keep up with the performance. Kane was insane this year idk if he can still do that next, but Lewy did so I’d put some trust in that. Sane/Gnabry/Coman who stays beyond this season must show up in the next year run. Kimmich got cooked by Vini but I still want him to be our RB. The CB position may need some switch, one LCB please. Invest well in our new LB.

    Frankly I can see a whole lot of improvement can be made for us to reach to that level, but would be a rocky path indeed. Let’s hope we nailed on each one of them

  30. I mean, sure, Kimmich got absolutely cooked by Vini yesterday but to be fair Vini is like top 2 wingers/attackers on the planet right now so its not like it could’ve been any harder. Even if I don’t like Vini as a person, he is absolutely class in terms of abillity.

    Knowing his ambition, I hope Josh doesn’t destroy himself too much about it, you could see he was giving his all and it just wasn’t enough to stop his pace/dribblings. Hopefully he can keep his head up for the EUROs. We need him on RB.

    Same with Manu and his mistake, I’m sure he’ll be great for Germany this summer.

    Squad depth killed us this season, and it’s gonna kill us in the years to come. We definitely need one more winger, DM, and an ST.

    Adresss this stuff and don’t cheap out the same way we did with Palinha.

    Game yesterday was decided by fine margins, but in the end 3 of the 4 goals we conceded were due to individual errors.

    Tuchel played an amazing UCL tournament but not resting the players vs stuttgart was decisive.

    Then you have Rummenigge this week publicly criticizing the current board for not being discrete in their search for a new manager. While the statement is true, why express that through some Spanish newspaper?

I’m sorry to say this but both Dortmund centerbacks are much better on the ball and have better passing range and passing skills than all of our centerbacks, if we expect to play from the back we need a much much better centerback with those particular skills. That’s why Dier despite being so slow and not particularly imposing physically plays over Upa, Kim, De ligt, because he’s the only one that can make a pass under pressure. Either Kim improves massively in his passing skills or Upamecano gets his head straight or we need to sell one of them. With the midfield I don’t know anymore honestly what to do Pavlovic emergence makes the decision more difficult since if we bring a new midfielder it will take over his minutes, I think in big games Laimer is our guy that needs to be there, he has proven he has the mentality and he was our best midfielder in this campaign, the guy that really pushed the team forward. Kimmich is still an enigma, let’s not forget that not only Vinicius blew past him but he had problems with Adeyemi too so teams will look to exploit that flank if they have a pacy skilled dribbler, luckily there are not that many. One of the wingers has to go, preferably Coman or Gnabry, Sane gave a lot to us, he’s the best, unfortunately, he was not fully fit but still, the fact he put his body on the line for me means a lot.

  40. Yeah this is a tough one.

    I really feel Dier and De Ligt and Laimer and Pavlovic are a great central base to rebuild. I can’t see flick doing it with them since his weakeness on counters.

    But if we agree that the new CB pairing should be Dier and De Ligt. We really need a world class LB. Is Kimmich a RB? Honestly he has impressed there and it’s hard to look good against Vini.
    But he has to understand he has nothing more to do as a CM. He is slow on the ball. He stares down the passer and is bad under pressure. So if he agrees to stay as a RB in Bayern and fight with Boey he is fine.

    In the midfield if we agree Laimer and Pavlovic are a good pairing we still need a CM or CDM that has an incredible passing ability. So many times yesterday Musiala or Kane had the chance to do a semi hard pass on counter and we failed. And when Laimer gets in those positions it looks labored.

    Our winger are an issue. If we agree that Musiala is a LW 100% or that’s his starting position then question is if Sane is the guy we want to be starting every game for us as RW. He is world class. But world class players are not inconsistent as he is. And he misses incredibly amount off simple passes and goals.
    If we do buy a world class winger im sure Sane would get benched because of level off consistency.

    But looking at the full picture in general we do need player that are better on the ball and under pressure. (I mean who doesn’t right ?)

    Pavlovic is the only shining light and damn the guy is a rock star. Him Dier and Pavlovic have been a revelation.
    Also with De Ligt in the first game we win 2-0.

    So question is. Do we Sell: Davies, Maz, Gnabry, Coman, Goretzka, Uppamecano, and Maybe one more?
    That’s close to 170m in income.

    And this has to be done by a board that’s totally incompetent and publicly gets shit on every day. It’s going to be interesting few months.

  41. Pavlovic’s Busquets style pass through the centre in the first half gave a hard on. This guy needs to be a locked starter.

  42. Looking forward to seeing Ryerson versus Vinicius. Ryerson had no problems over 2 legs with Mbappe and he’s the kind of player that plays always at the edge of the rules, a bit of a dirty player, I could see him getting in the head of Vinicius since I think that’s the only way to stop him.

  43. Is there a significant difference between coming 2nd or 3rd in the league in terms of money earned?

    If not, rest all the injured players for the rest of the season and let the likes of Tel and Zaragoza play, as well as the other youngsters we sometimes have on the bench. Sane has been playing through a lot of pain for months, Musiala apparently the same for the last month or so. Give them the rest they need and let them recharge for the Euros. Sucks that we had to sub off all of our attacking players with injuries/issues yesterday and that’s the main thing the club needs to fix.

    We can’t have this amount of muscle-related injuries over a whole season, nobody can. It fucked us up and I’m not looking for excuses for Tuchel, but pretty much any coach would struggle to set up anything if we can’t field the same team 3 or 4 times in a row.

  44. Yesterday is done, it sucks and it’s going to sting for a while but it is what it is. I know it’s cliche and really means nothing, but the team can be proud of their CL run in the setting of their pretty woeful season.

    Looking ahead for next year all I really want is a return if dominant, attacking play. I really miss seeing the team in Berlin for the cup, it’s been too long. The CL is always the pipe dream but I really hope they can return to the cup final and take back the league!

  45. At this point what’s done is done ,hurting ourselves is going to cause even more pain but eventually we have to move on and let’s do it sooner rather than later .
