FC Barcelona and Pau Cubarsí have reached an agreement to extend the centre back’s contract with the club through to 30 June 2027. The player’s buyout clause has been set at 500 million euros.
The defender put pen to paper this Thursday morning at an event also attended by FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta; first vice-president Rafa Yuste; the director responsible for youth football, Joan Soler; and sporting director Anderson Luis de Souza “Deco”.
3 years contract then. It’s probably because he is under 18.
If he continues developing in the right direction, it will bite us when we have to negotiate renewal in 18 months or so.
OTOH, it won’t be like Fati if he gets injured or stagnate his development.
Nice. I can’t wait for all those brainded comments about his clause on twitter 🙂
Maybe the real titles this season were the important contract extensions we made along the way?
