If city win the league – foden will win it
If arsenal win the league – rice will win it.
It’s quite obvious how this is going to go.
If foden wins poty Palmer will get ypoty. If foden doesn’t win poty, he’ll win ypoty.
I’m surprised no one is saying ødegaard! He may not have the stats, but the impact he has on the pitch is unbelievable. He consistently puts in amazing performances, being Arsenal’s most energetic player as well as the creative workforce.
No Saka is a joke
Foden will likely win POTS especially if City win the PL. Palmer deserves to win YPOTS imo.
It Depends on the Title. If City win, Foden all the way. If Arsenal, Rice.
Really surprised at Anthony Taylor’s omission, he’s been City’s best man this season.
I’d argue Watkins. Villa getting the Champions league for the first time in over 30 years, Watkins currently has 19 goals and 12 assists in the league. I’d honestly say he’s the clear favourite – as Villa have far exceeded their standards with his contributions. But the top 2 team players get the votes, despite being where they’re expected to be.
No Rodri but VVD was nominated?
This should be a crime.
Come on, Rodri is unbeaten in EPL this season and he has 7 goals and 9 assists as a DM…
No fan of 115 but Rodri has to at least be there.
These things have such a forward bias but how the hell is VVD on there? He’s had a very average season from what I’ve seen. You have the strongest defence in the league not getting a single nomination in that position.
I wonder if Van Dijk got the nod over Gabriel/Saliba because there’s a quota regarding having too many players from the same team or maybe they’re obliged to include at least 1 player from top 3 teams. Likewise it could be the reason Rodri was snubbed.
I see a lot of big club bias here. In my opinion, Watkins is the most deserving player of the award this season.
No Rodri but van Dyke. Oh do fuck off
Watkins.
Watkins, for me. All of his goals are without any penalty and that helped his team to get a UCL spot after decades. If it’s not Watkins, then it’s Foden/Palmer for me. Rodri deserves a shout here as well.
It has to be Watkins, but it won’t be as it’ll depends on who wins the title I think so either Foden or Rice in that case.
Rodri not getting a nom *at all* is madness and a clear indication of the attacking bias of these types of awards. I think Watkins is definitely deserving of winning it for all he’s done, but if not him then Rodri is the next most deserving player.
Should be Watkins, but it’ll be either Foden or Rice depending on who wins the league.
No Rodri is wild
I mean how the fuck is Rodri not nominated? He would easily be my pick and I’m saying that as an Arsenal fan.
Don’t particularly understand the outrage at no Rodri vote tbh.
Is he the best DM in the world? Yes
But that’s not what the award is. Although, he has a much better case for inclusion than Foden lol. Couple on there I’m.not sure how they’re nominated, but awards rarely make sense.
Watkins should win. But he won’t.
Foden, Watkins, Isak, Odegaard are the only serious options imo.
Ross Barkley is Luton best player. He doesnt get nominated for POTY. VVD being the best player for Liverpool doesnt mean anything. He doesnt deserve to be nominated.
As an arsenal fan it should’ve been saka over odegaard
VVD over Saliba/Gabriel? lol ok
And did a hole appear on earth and swallowed Rodri?
The list is just factually invalid without Rodri, it’s him 1, Rice 2, Watkins 3 and Foden 4 any of the rest could be 5 and Haaland makes the top 5 for me.
Liverpool fan, none of our players have stood out enough to be on this list tbh. I don’t think VVD will even win our POTY award – though he has been good. Personally would probably say MacAllister has been overall our best player across the entire season.
I have a sneaking suspicion it’ll be close between Palmer, Watkins and Foden – possibly Rice if Arsenal win the league. I doubt they’ll give it to Haaland, the only player to get it twice in a row was CR7.
Rodri, Saliba and Gabriel should be there.
