Chinese Soldiers Spotted in Ukraine!

Chinese soldiers have been spotted fighting for Russia in Ukraine just what does it mean for the war and for the relationship between China and Russia I’m Paul US Army Combat veteran let’s talk about it so here’s kind of the footage that really set me off on kind of looking into this was this individual here this is a a Chinese citizen who supposedly turned up in Ukraine this looks like it’s from a a Chinese uh Tik Tock clone uh or I guess the OG Tik Tok but as you can see he is a Chinese Soldier but look right he’s got his Russian patch his Z patch notice his gear this actually is pretty sophisticated gear this makes me think this guy is actually a was a a Chinese soldier at some point uh because you notice he’s got a um this battle rifle looks actually a lot like the Chinese standard issue I think it’s called like the qz1 or something it’s an AR style platform um as opposed to like AK sort of platform uh that the Chinese military has kind of gone away from but he’s got you know his grenades clipped in here he’s got his uh plate carrier his mags he looks like his kit is pretty put together even his helmet looks like it fits properly he’s got extra mags there he’s got an assault pack right this is this is somebody he’s even got his Carabiner up here this is somebody who looks pretty properly Ked yeah you notice too there’s there’s just a little bit of like the way he handles the weapon uh the way he keeps one hand on it good Trigger Discipline this is not Amateur hour and we know that Russia is willing to send some pretty inexperienced soldiers to the front line so it makes me think that this is a former Chinese service member uh who likely volunteered for this operation uh this what started me down this Rabbit Hole I said oh is there more of this and then when I plugged it in I realized here is a video from a month ago from Channel 13 mercenaries are fighting for Russia in Ukraine Chinese mercenaries are fighting for Russia in Ukraine according to a video shared by a Russian military blogger on social media the right here is another this is a clip from a blogger showing a Chinese citizen here communicating with a Russian I think it’s an instructor but they look like they’re using an iPhone translation app footage shared by Russian military correspondent pavl kushin on his telegram Channel shows two men sitting opposite each other at a table communicating in now you see this this looks like uh their a training exercise which again you see it’s it’s kind of a pre-dug trench right there’s a individual doing the clearing exercise and it looks like an instructor or a safety here supervising this is a pretty classic of like a military training exercise so it makes me think that they are in fact using Chinese Nationals uh training them to be soldiers or to fight within Russian formations Russian and Chinese via a voice electronic translator Newsweek reported about this there is no language you see oh what the hell uh barrier okay wait I want to show you an example of what not to do watch the watch this Chinese mercenary there is no language barrier a volunteer for the People’s Republic of China communicate with the commander of the pat nka International Brigade us oh okay maybe not maybe he’s okay but still there’s something about the way this is this unslung rifle is just being casually kind of hung like that just sort of says this dude’s probably not served in a military before right he’s actually no he’s got a sling he just doesn’t have his rifle attached to the sling that’s Amateur hour translator wrote kushin Russian President Vladimir Putin has reportedly been under increasing pressure to take a more aggressive approach to his war against Ukraine and introduce a fullscale mobilization in the country okay we know about this but what’s most interesting again is the fact that one you heard in there that there’s actually an a Russian International Legion that has a large Chinese contingent really interesting I never heard of a Russian International Legion despite the large number of foreign Nationals fighting for Russia right and so then you go two months ago you see there’s even more Chinese mercenaries spotted fighting for Russia um now again this may be oh this is actually the same oh I think this is the same footage because it’s from paval kushin and you see um the they shout out the name of the pachka international Brigade how they’re using a translator uh I wonder how if there’s anything about this brigade like on Wikipedia yeah here we go Wikipedia says it’s a um it was originally part of the DPR now it’s part of the denk Army Corps uh and it doesn’t really have a interesting that it does not have a size um but it was supposedly fought in the 2023 counter offensive heavily involv the Battle of ab Diva uh and of course March 2024 reported the Brigade accepted Chinese vol te you could see it looks like it’s been around for a long time very interesting stuff again something I did not know existed um until recently but is this the primary uh vehicle by which China is supporting Russia no but they are supporting Russia and the primary vehicle is doing what China does best which is manufacturing right behind the scenes this is from uh just a few days ago just two or three days ago Carnegie Endowment for peace reporting behind the scenes China’s increasing its role in Russia’s defense industry but what it’s doing is really kind of uh Shady right since February 2022 China has increased its exports to Russia by about 60% um and this is in some ways a Lifeline to Russia’s economy but what it’s supplying is often dual use products these are products that have a civilian application but also a military application and usually what that means is that they are that they are like precursor items uh that can be put in different types of Civilian or military systems and the problem is is that because they’re they could be used for civilian purposes they aren’t really that controlled right it’s not like you’re producing an artillery shell or a missile um but instead these are often uh products like Electronics or optical devices uh and Russia has basically outsourced all these components to China the idea is that of course they’ll be sent to Russia for like final assembly and so Russia is the one making the weapons but China is sending them the Ikea parts kits so that they’re just snap and go is kind of the theory um now again telecommunications uh uh uh semiconductors we’ll take a look at the full list of what they consider dual use products but you can see here right machine tools are another good example these are the things you need to make the things so instead of selling Russia rifles they’re selling them CNC Machine Tools something that can be used to easily manufacture uh basic Soldier Parts again like a rifle or a part to a tank so it you could see how China’s kind of playing fast and loose now they’re not doing it explicitly Chinese exporters are uh in sometimes just blatantly defying the sanctions but more likely they’re circumventing them often times selling them to intermediaries are facilitating the payments uh there’s rumors that there’s some Middle Eastern countries that are actually kind of being the shell buyer and shell seller to prevent uh China from getting ousted for doing this but we can see that Russia’s GDP has continued to grow so even if the right you could see here that even following the invasion right you could see that here is 2020 2021 2022 it was growing uh let’s see if we can get this get this here yeah Russian Ministry ceas 2024 GDP at almost 3% higher which says that even if China’s not sending them military gear which they are they also are just sustaining their economy through trade right they’re selling Goods to Russia and Russia is in turn exporting Goods to China right this is why sanctions are supposed to stop this sort of thing so when we take a look at what constitutes some of this stuff you can see that this is the list of high high priority items February 2024 these are the tier one items that uh the EU considers to be extremely applicable to military use right these are integrated circuits processors controllers uh logic circuits amplifiers clock and timing circuits or other types of circuits and all kinds of integrated circuits right tier 2 is of course uh looks like um relays or retransmission devices radio transmission stuff and of course then you have other things like static converters aerial reflectors uh television digital cameras video recorders again you can see how like a digital camera video recorder might be installed on a drone um right plugs in sockets uh for you know low voltage items again LED lights so these are obviously dual Ed but they’re kind of basic items right think about how many in a tank how many of these items might appear or in a sophisticated aircraft for example um you can see also they have you get lower on the list you have things like ball bearings right uh parts of airplanes helicopters on man aircraft telescopic sites for arms and other optical devices so just to give you guys a sense of what constitutes these high priority items um you can see they’re pretty generic right they’re pretty important to both civilian and military applications and if you’re interested in seeing guys some of the fighting on the front line to see how Russia uses these high priority items you want to check out combat vet news.com twice a week I find the uncensored combat footage from the front lines it’s 1. GDP is `growing` because of the military production. Tank costs money but destroyed tank is worthless.

  2. Not saying he’s not Chinese but doesn’t China and Russia have a border that’s extremely long which would mean there would be a lot of “Chinese looking Russians” or even Chinese speaking Russians due to geographical location

  3. How are you sure they are Chinese cause they say so? I’ve seen Asian faces from the start in the Russian army. Half eastern part of Russia is Asian looking.

  4. So what? You got every european fighting on Ukra side. But who rules the rule that only Ukra can have foreign fighting for them? Pathetic.

  5. even if it’s Chinese, what do you care? There are Canadians, Germans, Americans, French on the side, and they’re all military personnel of their countries.

  6. 27 countries supply the country with 404 – why can’t the Chinese do the same? And if you still believe the sanctions, you are dumber than the chair you are sitting on

  7. That’s a regular AK-12, Paul, whatchu talkin about 😂? That ain’t no AR. Besides, the Chinese QBZ-95 is a bullpup. China does make the QBZ-191 which looks a bit more similar to what you see here, but 1.) the 191 does not have a protruding gas tube like you see on AK’s and like you see on the AK-12 in this video, and 2.) the 191 is not chambered in 5.45 or 7.62, it’s chambered in 5.8×42, which would be nonexistent and useless in Ukraine. The rifle in this video is an AK-12. Also, the Pyatnashka Brigade were in the same area as my AFU brigade in Donetsk Oblast during the ‘23 counteroffensive on the southern flank of Avdiivka. They haven’t always been staffed with international volunteers, they used to be all separatists. And they were nowhere near the most formidable Russian element in that AO 😂 but I’m sure they still exist and serve some kind of purpose.

  8. As many mentioned in the comments there may be Chinese people with russian citizenship living in far east Russia on the border with China. In addition, considering that there are several mercenary / volunteer groups from western countries in Ukraine, it's logical to assume there may be chinese mercenaries / volunteers on the russian side and it doesn't mean that "Chinese soldiers are in Ukraine".
I appreciate your videos, but this one seems a bit click-baity.

  9. Ukraine will become the battle ground for WW3. The US and China are just gathering information for their military grade A.I systems.

  10. Not really a wonder, if you look at past proxy wars there were all Soviet pilots in Vietnam, North Koreans digging tunnels in Vietnam, Cubans in Congo, so I think this is standard practise. West has forces in Ukraine as well, just not so many that they can deny if needed. Nothing really new, basic human bs, let's all pretend and lie, and pretend more deny. Wars bring out the worst in humans.

  11. He might actually be more russian than putin himself . He may not be chinese mighy just come from region over mongolia clkse china border ..russia js using all those guys from minotiriee rather than rjch moscovite

  12. They appeared in RVN, during the 60's, don't know how much it helped them, in '79, the Viets kicked them out and back into China.

  13. Its is confirmed already. They are current soldiers who are getting some experiences on the field. They have one translator for every 10. China has no active experience. Some issue on the borders but nothings really complicated. This is the great rehearsal to face US in the next five years. I don’t know why y’all are act surprise. Other country are sending ops and soldiers to gain direct experience

  14. you do realize russia stretches all the way to the east? How do you know he is a chinese citizen? cuz he looks like it? you might want to read more about demographics in russia.

  15. Not just chinese we can hear Indian guy talking in background and he states someone else is from cuba and also many Nepali people have also joined the russian army since the conflict began and many have died and many are missing in actions.

  16. Begin to explain how women feel during menopause. in russia there is universal military conscription. Every male over the age of 18 undergoes military training for 2 years. all soldiers who go to the front go through a three-month refresher course. So what did you say about the poorly trained Russian soldiers? I didn't hear you. Russia is a multinational country. Over 100 nationalities live in Russia. Imagine that some of them have Asian features. Many Chinese with Russian passports also live in the border areas. Please dont try to think its not for u

  17. Russia's GDP growth is artificially inflated and is very short-term. There's been a significant slowdown in investments towards long-term sustainable growth.

  18. But doesn't Russia have a Mongolian population that look Chinese?? If Russia was sending inexperienced soldiers to the frontline, then how come they are trearing through Ukrainian towns and fields and even disposing of French foreign legionaries?

  19. Just proves we can't trust Chinese people but I guess I already knew this considering they sell American produced food as Chinese food that's just preped and cooked with Chinese tradition…. That's fraud to me.

  20. All numbers related to the Russian economy are reported by Russia so we know it’s all crap and distortions. The economy is booming because the government has factories working overtime making products consumed or destroyed inside Ukraine. This is not benefiting Russians and in fact is very bad for long term economic development.
Russia is desperate for warm meat to send in waves to also be consumed and destroyed so of course they bring in Chinese and Nepalese and Indians and Cubans and Africans and Arabs and any other poor suckers who believe earning a few thousand dollars is worth dying horribly in a genocidal war.
China has been violating sanctions against Russia from jump along with India and Turkey and any BRICS nations that export useful goods and consume crude oil.
Even the EU imports about $7 billion in goods from Russia every month and sells Russia about $6 billion in products. So sanctions are not exactly a blockade.

  21. Of course China has Wagner/Blackwater type outfits that they can use to extend their policies where the Chinese military proper for various reasons can't.
