  1. > The group discussed the brand’s shift from promoting dieting to becoming a weight-health company, providing medical intervention through drugs like Ozempic and Wegovy.

    Dieting == bad.

    Weightloss drugs == good?

    She already unleashed the scourge of Dr. Phil and Dr. Oz onto the world, why can’t she leave us all alone?

  2. Sorry, if I destroyed a whole generation.
    Anyways: Who else wants to sell their soul to television and social media. I will gladly cover your downf…. success!!!

  3. F this lady. She is trash and always has been. She hoards money and promotes nothing but harm on the general public.

  4. You still gave us Dr Phil and Dr Oz. You can never right those wrongs, Op. NEVER!

  5. Bulk shit, isn’t she airing a second pro ozempic special soon?

  6. Oprah: Sorry I’ve been peddling weight loss diets to you for ~~over 35~~ 25 years. I’ve seen the error of my ways. I would now like to peddle weight loss DRUGS to you.

  7. cool. now apologise for all the years of bad advice, promoting toxic gurus, fake doctors, exploitative therapists and woo cures for literally everything

  8. All the stupid women who thought she was just like them struggling to lose weight. She had every possible advantage and she not only didn’t really want to lose weight she made sure that she always mentioned that she was on a diet so people could relate to her. It was all a con job to keep her audience of insecure people who would buy her magazine and watch whatever crap she was peddling. Now that people can lose weight with medication we no longer need her “advice or guidance” so guess what? She is obsolete.

  9. promoting ozempic is still part of diet culture, oprah.

  10. She’s apologizing for promoting diet culture at an event for a company that’s sole business is promoting diet culture.

    Um, the call is coming from inside the house.

  11. Keep paying her billions while screwing the middle class. She is a coward.

  12. I mean if people are taking health advice from an overweight woman on tv that’s kinda on you

  13. You get an apology! And you get an apology! Everyone gets an apology!

  14. Is that REALLY what you should be apologizing for? What about your good friend Weinstein?

  15. What she meant is: “Dieting is bad, I’m sorry. Now please pay thousands of dollars a month, for the rest of your life, for this medication that forces you to diet by slowing down your digestion.”

  16. In a country where obesity is over 50%, I doubt she was doing any diet culture contributing, rather fad diets and schemes

  17. Look, she’s been giving advice for 25 years – with 25 years of advancements in medicine and science, and changes in cultural attitudes, there’s no way that you can look back on every bit of advice and not find tons of things that look wrong in hindsight…

    Oh, wait, you said Oprah? Nah, fuck that, she’s been giving terrible advice and platforms to terrible people all this time and most it was bad even before hindsight comes into play.

    Unless she’s ready to use her clout to try to fix some of these things, no apology is going to do it.
