If you’re an eternal being that can shed your frame for another every few years or decades, why wouldn’t you have spent multiple lifetimes living as not only other human races, but other races of the universe?
Honestly, anyone that has a problem with this casting truly understands nothing about Dr Who.
It’s more of a kids show right? Did these people complain everytime the main person changed in Blues Clues. Are people just unable to comprehend diversity when they see it?
Haven’t watched his episodes, but he reminds me of how the Doctors used to be. Sadly I’ve only seen clips.
Man. I’m gonna give him a chance. I already liked what I saw in the past two episodes.
And if I threw a fit over the color of the Doctor then, if the Doctor was real, he would be disappointed in me.
Show has had diversified casts for years now. What’s the problem?
I enjoyed the 2 new episodes as well as the special last year. He’s quite good in the role. His outfits are immaculate, especially in the 2nd episode.
As long as he gets better writing than she did. Her run as the doctor was such a lousy script.
All I know is he was excellent in Sex Ed.
I haven’t watched an new Who since grumpy docs first season but this guy might just bring me back
I will never understand people with bigoted views who claim to be fans of this show. Doctor Who and the Doctor themselves is AGAINST those kinds of people and against bigotry as a whole!
I’ve seen some pretty disgusting racism and homophobia aimed at Ncuti. People like that are NOT fans!
Never watched Star Trek: DS9, catching up on it while out on disability. Back in 1993 it had a black captain, female first officer, a male-to-female transgender science officer who was pansexual and an English doctor of Arab descent. The token white dude was the lowest ranking guy on the station. None of this was a problem because the episodes were well written.
Yup. They put a black person in a show and it gets review bombed. Every. Single. Time.
I love Ncuti so much.
I swear I want him, Keder, and Jabari (the new Prince in the show BelAir) to be in a movie where they are all brothers who have to repair their relationship after their father (Billy Porter) has died.
Lemme go write this script lol
