If there’s one thing Dems are spectacular at, it’s striking out even when the ball is placed on a tee.
This was a clear solicitation for a massive bribe, and should be the top story in every news media. The DoJ should prioritize an investigation. Presidential candidates cannot be soliciting quid pro quo deals for massive campaign contributions.
It seems to have backfired anyway. The execs were so horrified by the demand, and probably offended that he has put them in this position to potentially deal with the FBI, that they probably won’t donate anything at all, lest they appear to be accepting his illegal offer.
