out of interest, how much of that could you see with the naked eye?

I do a lot of Astro/auroras photography (ig @untitledshot -http://www.instagram.com/untitledshot), but was stuck in London this weekend. Seeing the surreal aurora forecast, I had to try to get auroras from central London.
I thought we would only see a faint green strike of light, nowhere on earth I would have expected the auroras to be dancing overheard, like yesterday !
