  2. It’s pretty obvious that, despite all the media attention that Biden gets for it, Trump is the one who is deep in cognitive decline from some sort of pathology.

    Trump and the media are in a lose/lose situation here. He has to speak publicly, which means he’s going to keep saying more and more obviously wrong and delusional things. The media have painted themselves into a corner with their coverage of him. They have to give him air time in order to create a false equivalency between him and Biden so they can milk it for ratings.

    Problem with that is that while, yes, Biden is an old man, he isn’t insane like Trump. There’s no way the media can keep propping Trump up as he continues to rapidly decline in front of cameras.

  4. Diaper Don was fucked in the head long before he lost the 2020 election. Sure, his actions in attempting to subvert it were some of the worst of his time in office. And not just J6, but all the other schemes (fake electors, pressuring state officials to “find” votes, etc). But I feel like it just put a neat little ribbon on the flaming bag of poo that was his entire term in office. Remember when he tried to provoke an election year war with Iran by assassinating one of their generals, then COVID happened and everyone forgot about it? Pepperidge farm remembers.   8. Nothing snapped. Trump already fucked up with his bumpstock ban in 2017. It’s why Democrats were able to reunite and take back Congress in 2018. He was always this stupid, nothing has changed, his mediocrity has only become clearer.

    If Trump was even remotely competent, his coalition would have kept Congress in 2018 and he’d be finishing his second term now after choosing his designated successor. Biden would have been forgotten. You don’t get to this point without a repeated pattern of failure and loss without being a failure yourself.

Being faced with being a “loser” is completely unbearable psychologically for him. That’s why he’s cognitively declining so rapidly. He’s losing his grip on reality.

  14. What Biden says is right on the money. But, it wasn’t just post hoc, propter hoc, it’s about the timing. He not only lost the election: he had COVID, a moderate case, that made him very ill, and that seemed to impair him cognitively.

    I agree that Trump was himself before October-November 2020, and the self was really shitty, but after that period, he became genuinely deranged.

    These are my opinions as a professional, and I believe Biden is working not merely on his own observations, but on those of professionals much more highly qualified than I am, in making this assessment of Trump’s trajectory.

    Improve turnout. Appeal to the left. Do popular things. Abortion, housing costs, higher minimum wage, corporate regulation, taxing the rich, Mary Jane, education costs, and stop dicking around and put some goddamn conditions on military aide to Israel.

    I know he’s trying, but keep hammering away and reminding everyone what side he is on. If Biden moves to the center to try and pick up conservatives who *will never vote for him* then I fucking swear. . .

    I will not abide another Trump presidency.

  35. Still can’t believe Biden is throwing away the election by not ceasing all weapon shipments to Israel and refusing to call for an immediate ceasefire. Netanyahu wouldn’t even have to listen, Biden would just have to meaningfully withdraw the US from the conflict and convincingly condemn Israel’s actions.

    Instead he’s, I’m assuming, ignoring all of his aides who must be telling him constantly that he’s forfeiting the election by not changing course. Biden knows that Trump is insane, and he’s making himself appear as unelectable as possible to exactly the amount of voters it’ll take to lose to that psycho.

    I truly hope he comes to his senses before it’s too late.
