It’s 2021 and it seems surreal! People from an EU country fleeing their country to seek refuge in another EU country!
Well as long as they have jobs, good for them. Berlin’s Kreutzberg should be something just for them. Pretty cool area.
It’s weird, if you go into most Eastern European threads on here or pop over to /r/askeasterneurope you constantly see Eastern Europeans complaining about harassment and moral hypocrisy by evil, decadent ‘westerners’ (whatever that means) when if you go by statistics most Eastern European countries have practically medieval attitudes towards a lot of social issues relative to Western Europeans and are much more likely to engage in casual racism and support far-right parties than us.
Berlin is also magnet for Polish LAHB+ (Lazy Alcoholic Homeless Bums).
My T friend moved from Poland to UK and it’s quite happy – the doctors there treat him seriously and with respect and there are actual resources for people like him.
Yeah a lot of LGBT people just gave up. We’re not even close to legalizing same sex partnerships, let alone marrige. I had a gay friend who left Poland permanently almost immidately after PiS won the elections in 2015, he realized it will never get any better and he’d rather not waste his entire youth living in the closet.
What a ridicolous title: ,,fleeing homofobhia” – like they were hunted on the streets and needed to seek refugee in Germany.
That demonizing of Poland is getting more and more ridicolous.

I am not suprised. Germany is much more progressive and civilised than Poland nowadays.
Heck, maybe I will move to Germany too. At least I won’t get bullied for beingan atheist in Berlin.
I’m one, I mean I moved primarily to live here with my boyfriend and because of a job opportunity, but I’m super glad I don’t have to live in Poland.
That will make some badass content for Russian Gayrope propaganda.
I do find it quite interesting, that straitstimes, Singaporean newspaper writes about that. Since in SG “same-sex sexual activity between males is illegal, even if it is consensual and takes place in private”
If diversity is strength, does this constitute as some sort of war preparations again, Germany ?
