Labour need to back renationalising the energy companies to bring prices under control. Anything else is just a drop in the ocean, especially when any government subsidies will just be added to the energy companies profit margins.
Boris Johnson: Instead Of Tackling The Worst Government In Living Memory, Labour Are Hopelessly Distracted By Infighting And Tacitly Allowing Bigotry To Flourish
Are we in any danger of a snap election if Johnson goes?
They were never going to tackle the cost of living crisis anyway, so these scandals are hardly a distraction to them. The government might even welcome them to some extent, as it distracts the public from the very fact the Tories are not tackling the cost of living crisis.
They wouldn’t be interested in tackling the cost of living crisis anyway. This is how they want the country. Brutal for the poor, cushy for the rich and their shitty kids.
Maybe I’m just a bit of a champagne socialist, but energy, water and public transport (trains) should be nationalised. Why should private companies profit on things humans need to survive and thrive?
“What cost of living crisis? The old boys down the club are doing fine, Jeff just bought a news Rolls and you should see the bonus Montgomery just had!” – Tory, probably
“Distracted by Westminster Parlour Games”. Remind me which party spent six months planning Wakeford’s defection stunt, Keir … it wasn’t the tories.
Labour has its own useless internal distractions; hopefully Starmer isn’t paying attention to them.
Tories dont care about the cost of living crises; they can’t be distracted if they didnt care in the first place
And Cheif Keef has been distracted by attacking and expelling his own members.
Just wait until gas prices double in a couple of months. You think the government is polling badly now…
