It’s just a bit of fun and I really enjoy the spectacle and drama of it all, especially the vote counting, but this bullshit of voting for countries like Israel and Ukraine to take a political stance drives me nuts. It’s literally designed as an apolitical event on purpose but people can’t help themselves. Back in the 00s I stopped watching it for like a decade because of bloc voting but that sort of stopped happening eventually, but now tactical voting is back and it’s even worse. Boring. Never mind, I have good memories of watching it as a kid.
