Nikolai Patruschew seems to be out completely. Almost sounds like a promotion for Schoigu
Interesting, Andrey Belousov the guy he wants as new defence minister was a pure economy guy/politician.
I conclude from that either Putin wants the army to become more efficient (economy/planning wise) which means to me he prepares for a LONG term war
Or that no other/better guy he trusts enough was available
