  1. >One insider told the Herald on Sunday that there may be a re-focusing and slimming down of priorities.
“It will be about competent delivery,” they said.

    >”The government will be looking at what’s important to voters about and what ministers can get through parliament given they haven’t got a majority,” they said.

    >With those aims in mind it’s likely that ministers and their advisors will be examining recent opinion polls which show the economy, the NHS, education and housing are the major concerns of Scots.

This sounds promising, ~~but it’s concerning (in my opinion) that the Herald claims one of the policies that ministers will be considering to water down or put on hold is the Conversion Therapy Ban.~~ (_see comment below_)

Other policies that the Herald claims are under consideration:

    – Plan to create a new National Park
    – Heat in Buildings Bill
    – Rent Controls
    – Pilot for Juryless trials

  2. Any policy that is not Independence for Scotland is superfluous and not why the SNP were elected.

They need to do their job.

  3. In other words, do less better.

Now where have I heard that before? 🤔🤔🤔

  4. More focus-grouping the shit out their agenda and less effort using the mandate of the Scottish people as a spring board to get on the cover of Time Magazine.

    It’s a start!

  5. That housing bill is actual lunacy.

    Rent controls do not work.

    Get it binned.

  6. Everything introduced under the BHA should go back under the microscope, as there are parts of it that were the work of the Greens and not something the SNP would normally choose to do. Kate Forbes basically said the same thing.

The BHA is gone. The Greens are gone. There is no harm in reviewing that policy, especially if it has the potential to harm SNP electoral prospects.

  7. Pilot juryless trials is still being considered? Jesus christ 🤦‍♂️

  8. The word considered bothers me immensely. And due to majority voting independence is very much not what it is. Smaller countries will always be susceptible to voting the way the rulers want to receive a little of the largesse from those in control.
When your government disagrees with something but has to implement it, is that independence?
