Paris hospitals chief sparks debate suggesting unvaccinated patients should pay for treatment

  1. Singapore did this. No further news I’ve seen about how this changed vaccination rate, but I’m guessing more people got motivated.

  2. If you don’t get vaccinated we’ll treat you like how the Americans normally treat their citizens. Lol.

  3. It should be up to insurance companies to be honest. They definitely should have option to not cover deliberately risky accounts. It is similar for any other insurance. If you are driving drunk your accident insurance is also void.

  4. Unvaccinated people have paid just as much as vaccinated people already, it’s called taxes. If this is a precedent, where does it stop? “Oh you’re obese, sorry, gotta pay for that heart surgery.” “Oh you’re a smoker, sorry, gotta pay for that lung transplant.” Get the fuck outta here with this shit. (Vaccinated by the way)

Edit: UK resident. Taxes = free healthcare.

  5. Covid treatment wont be covered by healthcare system and people can be free of restrictions.

Vaccines just protect you anyways so unvaccined wont have any responsibility by spreading nor causing problems for healthcare system.

More choices and freedom. This is the way.

  6. At least half the people who are in hospital are their because of their own actions if you want to go down this route. Most of the people with liver cancers were drinkers, drug abusers or fatties. Most of the people with lung cancer were smokers. Most of the people with type 2 diabetes were fatties. The list goes on.
