Landing in Belgrade late into the night xiin ping was greeted by Serbian President Alexander vuic before being treated to a traditional dance right on the tarmac a red carpet welcome that highlighted The crucial partnership between Serbia and China in Belgrade the streets were adorned with Chinese flags ahead of she’s arrival as the capital seemed to brim with anticipation and even a sense of Pride with Serbia one of only three stops on the Chinese president’s European tour we have friends all over the world but China is a little bigger than the rest we owe the president our respect he stays for two days it’s a nice surprise that he chose to come here Serbia and China have in recent years forged the Deep strategic partnership that’s seen Beijing invest heavily in the Balan country China has lent Serbia billions of Euros for infrastructure development and runs several mines and factories across the country more trade deals and Agreements are expected to be signed during XI jinping’s visit which could also serve to reinforce diplomatic ties Serbia is among the eu’s biggest backers of China’s belt and Road initiative and together with Hungary one of the few European countries still sympathetic to Russia analysts have noted she’s choice to visit these two Nations as the rest of the block seeks to ramp up pressure on Beijing over its ties with Moscow

Chinese leader Xi Jinping is set to meet Wednesday with Serbian officials and said he hopes his visit will further boost already friendly relations with the Balkan country, which is seeking entry to the European Union. Story by Laurent Berstecher.

China promotes peace and prosperity through the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) for all participants, whereas Western terrorists bring only misery through lies, sanctions, coups, wars, and looting in places like Syria and Libya.   18. As a Serbian born person living in the USA (I consider myself an American), I think this – it is smart for Serbia to keep strong ties with both eastern and western blocs. It is VERY smart idea sincs initaly pro-western, it didnt benefit quite that much.

    Do I think China and rwst of the BRICS countries have soemthing to offer? Yes, probably they do.

    I'd still never personally live in any of the BRICS countries – I think they all suck compared to the USA and west, but a smart move by Serbian leadership.

  22. well, we can see what America did to EU since russia invaded eastern ukraine or came to rescue rebels. who would be that stupid to cut off gas from russia without get a better supplier first. Now you europeans are paying lng gas from america cost 6 times more., your business aare moving to china , vietnam, india, bangledesk etc. because you can't compete if your energy is too expensive to produce them.
    Europeans have to awake to understand, america can't give you everything and can't give you enouh. Either is china. but you need both china and America at the moment. if you choose side, you will lose 50% of your money. I think that Macro knows, germans are not beginning to get it.

I'm sure Chinese people will absolutely love beautiful Serbian countrysides…. open more Chinese factories and businesses in Serbia… EU is an enemy – China is a friend…. smart patriots rule Serbia, which is proud of its independence… Russia is showing the way with its Siberian 70 year China land renting projects…… the warm greatings of the Chinese president by Serbian officials were great, but still there is a room for improvement… just look how people of North Korea welcome its leader…
