The new German government has apparently dropped their support for chat surveillance. So (now) I don’t worry too much about this
For transparency we should definitely adopt this for a restricted number of people that might abuse their power.
Another day, another instance where the European Parliament is the most based out of the three power instruments, showcasing the need for more direct democracy in the Union.
Isn’t it funny how the European Commission wants to have access to telecommunications, yet von der Leyen fights tooth and nail to keep her SMS secret?
Far right groups are using encrypted chat to get around bans. There needs to be an enforcement mechanism to stop this
