  1. Very surprised by this article because everyone else I’ve heard from has been much more worried about Jake Paul than Mike Tyson. I don’t know anything about boxing but also assumed Tyson would beat him very fast.

  2. I don’t know (or care) anything about Jake Paul. Tyson has aged, yes, but he was a very powerful fighter. Dare I say, this article might be… marketing for the fight?

  3. Go watch the very funny “Great White Hype”. That is how I expect this fight will go.

  4. The thing that’s easy to forget is all the little punches are super damaging to the brain. Loads of small concussions. Of course getting knocked out cold is bad but it’s not just that one punch that matters. I was kinda of nonchalant about this fight and still expect Tyson to win, but if he doesn’t win fast, man, it might be better for him to lose to an early KO than go the distance as winner or loser. It’s also pretty well known that the power is the last to go, but stamina and reflexes deteriorate no matter what by 57 and being tired and hittable is not good.

I hope he doesn’t fight. There is nothing for him to prove.

  5. Not the rape conviction and laughter at bragging his best punch was to his wife

  6. Paul is a little bitch and Tyson is going to wipe the floor with him. Then hopefully he pisses all over the loser and calls it “prime time”

  7. I’m sorry, but I’m vastly more concerned for Paul’s health. I’ve seen him box, the two styles are opposite and Tyson still looks like he did in his prime which is insane at his age.

  8. Why are so many people so fucking gullible and think that this is actually going to be a real fight? The Mayweather fight made it clear that it will be just good enough for idiots to waste PPV money but there will be zero knockouts.

  9. Absurd to think an elderly man will have any chance against someone half his age. Sorry but this isn’t gonna end well for Mike even though we all want it to.

  10. Might get some hate from this, but I feel like it’s kind of messed up to put a 57 year old retired boxer suffering from sciatica up against 27 year old in his prime.

I think people are getting too caught up in the Mythos of Mike…

I hope he wins, but if not, I hope they call it before he risks permanent damage…

  11. People still think this is a legit fight and not fixed ?

  12. It’s actually a lose lose for Jake I think. If he wins he beat a 50 year old retired boxer and if he loses he lost to a 50 year old retired boxer.

  13. I think he will be ok. Rocky did fine in Rocky VI, he didn’t win but he went the distance. I feel like that’s probably what’s going to happen here.

  14. We all know this fight is fixed, at least in the sense that it’s not *entirely* legitimate.

Mike Tyson isn’t going to give it 100%. The Mike Tyson you see in the training sessions for this fight is not the Tyson that will step into the ring that night. Not even close. It’ll go to decision somehow and be declared a draw or split decision.

I laugh at anyone who thinks Tyson is going to ko this kid as if the people in charge of this sham of an event would ever let that happen.

  15. Valid point as a punch to Tyson is likely to die more significant damage than would have 20 years ago. So even if Paul significantly weaker, the age gap more or less makes him an equal and that’s bad for someone at 57.

Weirdly it means that Tyson only chance is what he made his bones on, that early knockout punch. Fight goes past two minutes and odds of significant injury and loss go up.

I do believe the fight is going to be staged with a fight plan similar to wrestling but like in wrestling it doesn’t mean some of the moves are not real and risk injury. Since Paul is the long term money maker, do not see Paul losing. Tyson will take the loss if the paycheck is high enough but otherwise the fight plan would be a draw.

  16. “Concerns from boxing peers”

Story goes on to quote one guy, Deontay Wilder, with some rhetorical observations.

  17. This is the same shit as the Mayweather fight. A joke and an insult to the sport. They both get paid big bucks to do jack shit. Anyone that pays to watch this should be ashamed.

  18. Pointless marketing.

That being said we won’t see what we want to. Mayweather could’ve clearly killed his brother and it amounted to a bunch of hugging because the fucker gassed out. I’m all for seeing Tyson be Tyson but he won’t. I love wrestling….and this is one wrestling ass storyline.

  19. How old was George Foreman when he beat Michael Moorer? Google tells me 45, and while Moorer wasn’t an elite heavyweight champion, he was still a boxing heavyweight champion.

There is no upside for Jake Paul to win this, but if he loses, he will never live it down. And while I don’t gamble, I would bet even money Mike wins this one.

  20. Isn’t Mike Tyson a convicted sexual assaulter? Why do people like him but hate Jake Paul so much? What did Jake Paul do that’s worse than what Tyson did? I have forgotten about the Pauls since 2019.

  21. Tyson’s shot is in the first round or 2. Other than that it’s a wash. He probably took the money to make the fight last 10 rounds, but for all of us Tyson fans, I hope he sees red after that first punch.

  22. Look, either an insufferable influencer targeting past-their-prime fighters for easy money gets rekt or an old POS rapist does. I see this as a win-win.

  23. Unfortunately, the people who think Tyson wins this are a little delusional. I want Mike to knock Jake Paul’s head off, but Tyson is way past his prime. It’s most likely going to be Jake Paul by decision.

  24. The entire reason this fight is happening is to draw a larger audience to the co-main event wich is the second title fight between Taylor and Serrano.

When they fought 2 years ago it was the fight of the decade. Do yourself a favor and watch the highlights:

  25. I hope Tyson lays Jake out and then an asteroid makes impact on the arena

  26. I’d call it karma for raping, but it’s all very orchestrated.

  27. Who won? It happened already right? I feel like this was in the news a month ago and then I stopped hearing about it.

  28. It’s a EXIBITION FIGHT, not real, no ass beating.
