The most spursy thing to happen would be, Tottenham taking points away from city and still missing out on top 4
😂
I don’t understand why this is getting so much traction, it’s all we’ve heard over the last couple of weeks. One thing is for definite, Man Utd rolled over yesterday to potentially stop Man City winning it.
Spurs fans should want to take points off of City and put it all on Arsenal imo
The banter will feed your children for decades if you give them the power to win the league and they bottle it
Time to finally give Mikey Moore some minutes
(In goal)
Rolled out the red carpet for almost everyone else the last few games
Imagine a draw and going into the last day equal. It would be so exciting watching both title contenders try to score as many as possible to win on goal difference.
I remember Liverpool facing Blackburn in 1995. Similar scenario in that beating Blackburn could hand the title to Fergie’s Utd. Liverpool won 2-1, but Utd shit the bed and drew 1-1. It was horrible until both results were confirmed. Then, oh how we laughed.
London teams last stand against Manchester
Absolute scenes when Tottenham takes points off City, only for Arsenal to bottle against Everton
Hypothesis. Spurs draw or win. Journalist interview Son. Journalist ask, “So Son, did you help Arsenal win?” I can imagine Son being offended. He wins cos he’s a professional. Not because of what the win might do to other teams.
I mean. I’d like Spurs to do us a favor and then they can share in our glory. Saying they did us a favor and we wouldn’t have won without them. We can then return the favour when it happens for them (it won’t happen, but they don’t need to know that)
We’re hammered with injuries, confidence is pretty shot and City are pretty much wiping anyone aside in front of them. But sure, let’s all pretend we’re actually going to have some say in the outcome of this match.
Why is all the chatter about Spurs rolling over to screw their rivals, but the same wasn’t expected of United just a week ago, they arguably had less to play for?
Spurs fans: “We want to lose”
Ange: “you need counseling”
>
“If you’re going by social media, 99% of them will want Spurs to lose vs Man City… but please don’t tell me that’s your world”. “If it is, you need counselling”. “I understand rivalry but I’ll never understand anyone wanting their own team to lose”. – Ange
Fans are nuts. There isn’t a single player on Tottenham who would put a bad game out on film on purpose in a big spot, just because them winning helps Arsenal.
City are in the zone now, they’ll be 3-0 by halftime, final score 4-1. Spurs can’t defend, and they’ve already got Europa league football, not much else to play for other than seeing your rivals lose. Arsenal had a good season, but they need to be exceptional if they want to win the league against City.
City will win, Spurs are a mess at the moment.
I don’t understand. It’s not like if Tottenham gives their 120% they would win. Even if they give it their all they are still bound to lose.
As a spurs fan of course not wanting a***nal to win comes with the territory, but if we wanted to try and put a stop to that, it should’ve been at home during the NLD when we had the chance. But we didn’t (queue the “we would’ve won if blah blah).
As painful as it would be, we should maintain a mentality where winning is priority, because…that’s how you win things in the long run.
Spurs really about to do the most Spurs thing possible.
I really don’t understand the desire to just rollover from any fan. I’d rather say “we played a vital part in the title race” than “we had a slightly alright season considering the Kane sale”. Plus a draw and goal difference would be box office for Sunday, more so if Arsenal then flop to West Ham. It’s the best of all worlds to make sure City don’t get 3 points on Tuesday.
Spurs are gonna get a penalty in the last minute, Tottenham players swarm the ref insisting it wasn’t a foul. Son is going to line the ball up with tears in his eyes. He’s going to fire it into the top corner due to pure professionalism and then collapse to the ground and sob.
