  1. Yes let’s stick it in one of the most crime ridden streets in the country. What’s the worst that could happen. Genuis

  2. Ah the novelty will wear off. People will get used to both it being there, and the shitehawkery that goes with it. You’d have to expect they allowed for this to happen in their plans.

  3. Surprising exactly no one? There would be incidents wherever they put it but putting it in Talbot St is absolutely asking for it.

  4. Well is that not the nature of the piece? Like those performance artists who do thing like allow the public to do anything to them.

  5. Life is art and art is life.

  6. The fact that someone felt emboldened enough to take out a bag of cocaine and go at it on front of the portal really highlights the absolute disregard for law and order people have. It’s especially true in that part of town.

  7. Have no drunken or drug-addled New Yorkers done anything vulgar on their side yet?! Come on!

  8. Wait… we thought this wasn’t going to happen in what universe? Certainly not in this one.

  9. last week:

complaining about yanks romanticized view of Ireland

    this week:

complaining that they are learning the truth

  10. That article seems to suggest that people are doing this because their drunk, which is a bit offensive. Dubliners are plenty capable of being shitheads while sober.

  11. “Hey New York, here’s another hundred reasons not to visit Ireland!” – plonks giant camera device in the middle of one of the worst junkie-ridden streets in Dublin.

  12. I don’t understand why the Gardai don’t just park themselves nearby for an evening and just wait for dopes. There was a lad standing there doing spoonfuls of coke, and video evidence to boot, but the only arrest was the daft one who was grinding herself against the screen?

  13. I just don’t understand why it wasn’t put on Grafton street

  14. It’s because it is tempting fate in a bad location. If it connected Stephen’s Green to Central Park we wouldn’t have nearly as much of this carry on.

  15. Saw a lad on the NY side showing off his arse as well, no clue why the NY Post would decide to portray us as the only problem.

  16. The NYpost lol, literally not news and actually a political mouthpiece.
