There’s this eagle in King’s Cross Station, is it lost?

  2. I didn’t know Cambridge trains stopped at Alexandra Palace.

  3. Looks more like a Harris Hawk to me.

    A few years ago I remember they were trialling the use of trained birds of prey to keep pigeons away from railway stations. Maybe they’ve started doing it again?

  4. Its not an eagle, its a member of staff. There is a falconer that covers at least Kings Cross and St Pancras, they might be indie but they use the birds to scare away pigeons. Look on the balcony for the handler.

  5. It’s not lost, it’s obviously getting the 13:57 to Cambridge – just waiting for the platform to be announced.

  6. They do this in Canary Wharf. Supposed to scare the pigeons and gulls.

  7. Nah, just for crowd control. But you don’t have to worry unless you’re a pigeon.

  8. Urgh, someone’s in trouble once they get to platform 9 3/4 and realize it’s gone
