  1. Apropos aviation,
I just have read on “Govorit Moskva” hat the civil airport of Elista, Kalmykia, Russia will be reopened in the end of May.
You can see where it is when you hover over the link on the left side:
    https://www.openstreetmap.org/search?query=Elista%20airport#map=5/45.540/44.144
This can mean the Russia has no more air defense left there.
On the other hand this is on the way between Caspian Sea and Ukraine.
Maybe there is a change of strategy in launching missiles, not any longer from the Caspian Sea with Tu-95,
maybe only one corridor will not be used any longer.
In 2022 a Kinzhal fell on Stavropol. This should have flown over the region near Elista.
However also from the Volgograd region more in the north there were reports about
the landing of “unidentified flying objects”.

  2. Yaaaaasss! These planes and helicopters seem to be coming down much more often recently. Which tells me that the propaganda about russias gains isn’t really the whole story.

Edit to add I hope the pilot (pilots?) is 86’d because you can eventually rebuild planes much quicker than training new pilots. Fingers crossed. Time to take out some more.
