Dew it. Dew. It.
Fed up pussyfooting, the way things are going this might be inevitable anyway. Why not do it now rather than later.
As they (and the rest of the EU) should.
We have let down Ukraine heavily so far – snatching defeat from the jaws of victory, and not just because of republicans in the US.
The replacement of Shoigu is just another piece of evidence that russia plans to pursue this war long-term, and we are still not building ammunition factories in sufficient amounts.
Not sending people now to do non-frontline duties (and building up more industries) means we will have to send troops to the frontlines later – this is not fair to the ukrainians or the european youth, which already has to bear a brunt of different problems made due to the inaction of their elders.
They’ll be next if Ukraine falls, and they don’t have 35+million of people.
By the time NATO comes, Estonia (along with the rest of the Baltics) will be Bucha.

That’s a pretty big gamble that either Russia won’t see this as war OR that Russia would have invaded Estonia anyway.
This kind of rhetoric seems to be increasing, what has changed in the last few weeks? – is because the news just back focusing on it or is it the wider changes made by Russia?

Good, somebody needs to be the first to break the psychological barrier. It gets easier after that.
Estonia: ‘Much like Russia, we don’t control where our soldiers take their vacations. I guess they just wanted to enjoy some light logistics…’
Would be a excellent idea, helps with military preparedness without exposing troops, frees up manpower for ukraine, might nudge allies into helping with “non-combat roles”.
I’m surprised at how long some EU states has let russia fuck with them in various ways and everyone still keeps kowtowing about a redline that keeps getting stepped on and redrawn.

This would be huge news in Estonia. It isn’t.
This is just some guy’s (probably educated) opinion and this headline makes it so much bigger than it is.
As soon as they are in Ukraine, Russia is going to deliberately target the Estonian soldiers. What is Estonia going to do when an Iskander missile strike kills 20 of their men?
Russia is facing a very dire situation.
The longer it takes them to subdue Ukraine the more likely NATO is to get involved more than it already is. Russia would not win a war with NATO and they know it. If they cannot make significant gains soon they will have to make some very tough choices.
Better for them to fight in Ukraine than in Estonia in a couple of years
This is probably already happening with other nations like Poland and France
The majority of NATO: The War in Ukraine is awfully concerning, and they need our help. But we can’t just be giving them billions of dollars for no reason!
The Baltics & Poland: We are next. We are next. We are next. We are next. We are next. We are next. We are next. We are next. We are next. We are next. We are next. We are next. We are next. We are next. We are next. We are next. We are next. We are next. We are next. We are next.
I do support this whole heartedly. Nuclear war be damned, we can’t exchange our freedom for tyranny without a fight. Weird to say in the 21st century…
Russia already made it clear they view this as a NATO/Russia conflict, so let them have it. No troops to Russia, let Ukraine be the crucible of freedom – however horrid it is. Problem is, Hitler analogies are not just empty rhetoric, Putin showed he does not respect national sovereignity
If I was doing a back office job in Ukraine I wouldn’t be particularly happy about this development TBH, I’ve seen plenty of footage from this war and it’s horrific.
The mistake these countries are making is that they think if they get involved, the battle will come to their country next. What they don’t realize is that the battle is pre-determined to come to their country next and it would be better to get in now than to let Russia takeover Ukraine first and conscript a bunch of Ukrainian soldiers.
Estonia knows that if ukraine falls, there is a high chance they would be next
It’s happening. It seems that we are in the very beginning in a world/life altering war. I may add, the root beginning of WW3. Love your neighbors
The frog is in the pot boys.
