He may not be the most friendly, easy-to-work-with coach, but he is definitely the best. Not just tactics. But also man management and micro-management. You come to training 4 grams heavier, you are out. You get a tattoo of yourself on your back, you are out. You think you are more important than the team and keep whining, you are out. You dont play towards possession, you are out.
Yet fans of other ‘top teams’ still snap back and say the only reason for his success is because he’s had ‘unlimited resources’ at City as if they aren’t spending the same money and getting less results
The treble was a big statement of intent to shut all the haters mocking him for UCL achievements. By far the most dominant UCL season in decades
He won’t get the credit he deserves until after he retires unfortunately.
We all know the truth.
It’s mostly fans from certain clubs who spout complete and utter rubbish about pep…
People fail to realize that other managers either copy Pep or at least massively adapt when playing against him (see Arsenal, RM lol)
THAT’S how you influence the sport.
(and yes I’ve said the same thing not too long ago)
Yet people want you to believe a certain italian in Madrid is better than Pep because … why actually?
Pep has almost double the league titles in half the time as Ancelotti (and he‘s about to win his 6th PL title).Pep’s not only achieved a treble, but also the sextuple.
Ancelotti has only one more UCL than Pep as of now and brutally honest, no side ever came close to the dominance of Peps UCL winning teams. A goat manager in my books doesn‘t opt for parking the bus in big games too btw
Ancelotti is great but you‘d have to be blind to overlook how his trophy cabinet has been inflated by his own players pulling him and their team through (especially the last 3 seasons).
And also because he‘s been at the absolute „easiest“ team to win the domestic league for 8 seasons now. Especially with Barca being shit since 2019, it‘s pretty much guaranteed that Ancelotti wins the La Liga unless Atleti play a „perfect“ season for their standards
Whatever you may think about our bottlejob against RM 2022, nothing comes close to bottling a 3 goal lead in a UCL final which is a title Ancelotti holds till this day
Remember when people in England used to say he could never implement his style in the Premier League?
Feels like so long ago
And one champions league
Other club supporters chalk it up to him having an endless supply of money and any manager can do what he’s done at city with the same amount of financial freedoms that he has.
Seems like they left out a crucial piece to his success
