The french cuisine is famous because of their culinary basics, techniques and education.
When it comes to the actual food, its pigs all the way for me. They dont need pretentious shit and words like “mise en place” or “julienne” or whatever. They just know how to celebrate food, even with the simplest ingredients in a totally messy and fucked up Kitchen. I also love unhealthy stuff that is dripping with oil. Fuck your health, if you cant enjoy it.

A lot of these are in the wrong place (Aligot in Gascogne instead of Aubrac)… also a lot of these pictures are wrong (crepes is the worst offender, get that overdecorated american tourist crap out of here). And Corsica is cropped.
Also Lyon specialties could fill more than this entire map, yet no Lyon dish are on this map (any why is Reblochon even on Lyon ???)
